Bomb da base II by yourself

There was discussion of this quite a while back but I wonder if anyone has made a serious effort at completing Co-op missions with non participating other players..

 

While you can't "complete" it by yourself-- you can do it if the other members don't participate.

 

I had a shot at a sub 4 minute time a week or so ago and did the entire mission by myself (other players slowed me down)....

 

I started a game with 2 player(no body had mics) a 3rd player joined as it started and the other player got in the 2nd car at the start and waited for the 3rd player.... I took off in the first car for the "near spawn" and was able to Jack it pretty quick..... (shot the driver dead through the back of the van)..... I got the van back to the way point at about 1:40 into the mission.... I had to wait nearly 30 seconds for the other 2 players to get to the way point....

 

The heli spawned and I flew to the ship with the other 2 as passengers.... I did my normal crash land up top (see my youtube vid about 2:50 into this video---

).... jumped down to the bridge and set the upper bomb and ran out of the bridge losing some health, ran through the health icon on the west side of the bridge, jumped down and glitched into the hold to set the lower bomb.... the 2nd bomb was set at 4:05 into the mission..... I killed myself with grenade, respawned on the deck and was in the water at 4:15.... the other 2 players would not jump off and stayed on there for the full minute bomb count down--- they were shooting at the bad guys for the full minute for a final mission time of 5:05).

 

Anyway.... with the 30 second delay at the start waiting for the other 2 players to arrive at the waypoint--- I could have had a time of 3:45 with a shot at 3:40 if I had respawned on the dock.....

 

Anyone managed a time by themself actual or theoretical time (like mine) that was better?? I've never had a van stop that fast by myself--- I'm shooting my self for not recording it....

I had 1 time at about 4:15 I think. I played with someone else who wanted to see if he could do it alone too so we both tried several times.

I made Deal Breaker in under the 7:02 a bunch of times by myself. That's a little harder though. My best was around 6:40. Had some random guy who always stayed at the house.

I dont like gta 4 co-op games anymore....

 

They are sounding boring and repetitive with little or no fun...

I dunno... i think only in Gta V to play them again

 

Gta is kinda dead, i find lil' people playing it nowadays, the last full room i found was a deathmatch in may 22 located in airport with thrownables only...

Obviusly i owned them all with my heli guns

finished a 10min game with 3500 bucks...

I had 1 time at about 4:15 I think. I played with someone else who wanted to see if he could do it alone too so we both tried several times.

I made Deal Breaker in under the 7:02 a bunch of times by myself. That's a little harder though. My best was around 6:40. Had some random guy who always stayed at the house.

I've been around-- just not real active.... real life gets in the way more and more....

 

I have had a busy year (my year old son-- 5 years old now)-- got diagnosed with cancer last year in March (he had a cancerous tumor called Rhabdomyosarcoma) and we were real busy with his treatments and homeschooling his 2 older brothers (kindergarten and 2nd grade) so they wouldn't bring home germs-- (since the little ones immune system was compromised from the chemo and radiation therapy)--- he finished up his treatments in January (10 months of chemo, surgery, and 5 weeks of radiation therapy) and he is now in remission.... getting scans every 3 months checking for recurrence-- so far so good... we are cautiously optimistic he is cured.... his type has a relatively high rate of occurance.... the longer he goes without it recurring, the greater the chance it won't recur..... if it doesn't come back in 5 years he is considered "cured" however he will be screened yearly for the rest of his life....

 

I gamed intermittently during his treatment-- mostly Red dead redemption-- played some co-op some still occasionally helping people get trophies.... my skills had degraded significantly and I had gotten too used to RDR controls and could hardly play IV since I used classic controls for IV and they are significantly different from RDR.... I'm decent at RDR but most games in multiplayer I still have a negative kill to death ratio (bag games and shootouts)-- every once in a while I will end up in a game with people I'm better then or on a decent team for the gang games...

 

anyway-- I recently started playing IV more just to get my skills back near where they used to be....

 

I'm impressed anyone can complete deal breaker in time by themselves, I've never tried--- did you land on the west side, work up to top and jump down for boat spawn??? Please let me know your basic strategy if you don't mind sharing....

 

It would be nice if you could play the co-op missions by yourself.... maybe something you could unlock after doing them a bazillion times (like I have done)....

 

I still enjoy playing them-- yes they are repetitive but I enjoy helping newbies beat the target times and doing this makes them a challenge still

Wow, just wow.

That's just gotta be so hard on everyone. Kids, wife. I can't imagine being able to focus on anything else but that. And 5 years of waiting and hoping.....

Anyway back to the mundane things....

And hopefully being a distraction from life for a few.

 

 

I started getting the DB times just by driving there and back. I just take the same way there and back, working from the bottom up, then jumping off the top and driving back. No glitches on PC to get down, I just die and then hopefully respawn near the cars.

I am always hoping for the 3rd spawn from your guide cause that's the easiest one to get since you will drive right past them going back. I can usually get them without slowing. Also they spawn in a slightly different spot on PC.

Instead of just to the southeast of the bridge, they spawn more to the southwest right in front of that factory where you can drive in. There is also a glitch where anywhere from 1 to 3 of then spawn outside or off of their vehicles and they just stay in that driveway. Or more annoyingly they run into the factory and you have to chase them down. That's fun.

Then just drive back. I used to just take the motorcycle until I realized the car is faster and takes some of the turns better. The bike slides around the corners more.

After I realized this guy I was playing with was just going to just hang out in the garage, I tried taking the helicopter. I don't actually get much faster with that, but that was where I got the 6:40 time. Otherwise I'd be right around 7:00.

I land on top in the northwest corner, shoot all the bikers that are on the ground that would be charging up the stairs, clear everyone on 7 & 6 and jump off, not picking up any of the packages up there until I work my way back up. For me landing on the ground always seems to take too much time.

Then I have gotten good at blading the bikers so hopefully it's not the van cause then I'd have to land.

And I finally figured out how to crash at the end so I don't have to pause to park the car to keep the door open. At least on PC, if you hit the garage just above the door, it always ends the game. Even if it looks like the door is closed. I'm not perfect, but it's always my mistake if I don't get it.

Although sometimes when playing with my ghost partner, sometimes he'd have the door open so I'd bail out of the chopper, land, die, and still get the ending. Although I did miss that a few times too

Anyway the only way to really do this is with some kind of partner. Mine I think is just looking for easy cash.

I also haven't playing for a bit cause my PC that I play this on needs work, but I should be back up soon. Have been playing on xbox a little lately, but that's totally different. I am best when I can shoot from the car and that's hard for me on console.
