Mister Pink
Pretty cool man. How long did it take to sketch it out? Say it took ages! Here's a silly vid my best mate and I made. It was a 2 hour job with no pre-production or any of that jazz. We just knocked it out as he wanted to make a vid for his then fiancé (now wife) for the Hen party. Acehilm
Ha, nice video PinkFloydSound - made me laugh. It took me 3 days to sketch it. 2 hours one day, 2 another and 1 hour 30 mins the last day. I used Adobe Flash, made another layer on the timeline and sketched every individual frame (12 fp/s). I'm not the fasted of drawers as well! I'm not the fasted of drawers as well! Thanks and WOW! It's funny because later that day my friend told me he wanted to make a rotoscope video. Well, he didn't know how it was called and I felt very smart telling him it was called rotoscoping and I told him about your vid. He said he wants to do it at 24 fp/s or 28 fp/s. He wants to make it 1min long and its going to take 16000 images. It's crazy. Anyway, I think you did a good job. Let us know if you do any more. Would love to see them. Acehilm
You should tell him to watch a movie called, 'Waking Life'. The entire movie is rotoscope and goes for about an hour and twenty. It's an amazing film and inspired me!

It's an amazing film and inspired me! It's a bit of a self-wank bore but it has its moments and the score is awesome. On another note, do any of you guys edit on Premiere? I've been thinking of making the switch from FCP7 lately ever since apple walked sideways from the professional market with FCX, and I've been hearing more and more glowing reviews over what adobe has to offer. Being able to edit raw red R3D files and multiple codecs on the same timeline definitely has its appeal.
Otter
They really nailed the process for A Scanner Darkly; I'd love to play with their software. However - the roto brush in After Effects has been blowing my effing mind lately!
Mister Pink
I've seen Waking Life. I've seen a few of Linklater's films and my other friend was actually just talking about A Scanner Darkly the other day Otter, which I haven't seen yet. I must check it out. @Antinark: I haven't been doing much editing and the lads are using an older version of FCP as am I. Couldn't really tell you much. Otter
Giving this a bump; interested to hear what y'all have been up to. My partner and I completed a web series recently, paid the bills and kept the studio going for a year - and we host an animated comedy show on Adult Swim Canada. Things have been bussssy. Otter
This is our show: http://www.adultswim.ca/tv/night-sweats/ The web series is called World Doctors, you can find it on mondomedia on Youtube. We did a few others, too, and did voice work for a ton of them. Got a podcast going now, a new show starts production this month, and we've got some pending negotiations.
