flotwig
http://experiments.chary.us/gamercard/ This thing lets you make dynamic signatures and gamercards for use on forums and websites and such. It is still in beta. Some gamertags might not work as expected. If anything bad/unexpected happens or you have an idea for a feature/theme, let me know here. I am looking for comments and suggestions.

flotwig
http://experiments.chary.us/gamercard/card...20Simmo/sig.png It works, but not like it should. I will fix support for gamertags with spaces. Edited June 14, 2011 by flotwig
GentlemanSquid
That's pretty good. I have been looking for a gamercard thing ever since mygamercard shut down. What sort of coding is it?
KilnerLUFC
You definitely need to get some new designs up, since at the moment you're offering the basic service that any of the other gamercard sites offer.
flotwig
@gta_talk: Thanks. It is written in PHP, with HTML for the frontend (of course). @Butters 2011: I know. I cannot think of any other designs. Do you have any ideas for designs?
1st gtaROCKER
How do I do this? When I click on the link, it just gives me a picture of your sig. When I delete the sub-domains, it just says: 'This is my PHP playground ' Or is it not a forum gamertag maker, you were just showing off your gamercard? KilnerLUFC
The first link works fine for me. And as for some ideas for designs, get some new shapes in there. As for backgrounds, take a look around for the most popular games that are out now or coming out soon, and put them as the background. Take a look around at all the other sites that are producing gamercards, and see what they are offering. Maybe even trawl 360 forums and see which gamercards are been used the most. GTArv
Nice work. It looks good, does the job pretty well; the only problem being multi-word gamertags. Images take a little time to load, you could cache them and refresh when they go old.
flotwig
@1st gtaROCKER: Click the link in the first post. Enter your gamertag. Select a theme. Press enter. Copy the applicable code to where you want to use it. @GTArv: Already do. Gamertag info and avatars are cached for one hour and game images are cached forever. @Butters 2011: Alright. flotwig
Multiple word gamertags and gamertags with spaces should work just fine now. I forgot to URL encode some stuff.
1st gtaROCKER
Meh, stupid me clicking on the wrong link. Looking good, especially the signature one. You can fit stuff around it as it's not too big, unlike many other gamercard makers.
flotwig
Thanks, I am happy to see it in your signature. There would be more themes, but I lack talent/time/inspiration.

flotwig
Yes, recently played games for your gamertag are updated once per hour.
GTA 360
In that case then, I changed my sig for you. Thanks. BTW, do you know why there is a great big Google ad blocking most of the box?
1st gtaROCKER
Surely there is a way to stop advertisements on the page? It just doesn't look that professional.
flotwig
I know. The web host puts them there, even though they have a no-ads policy...
1st gtaROCKER
SUE THEM! But seriously, if you signed up to their site with them clearly stating they have a no-ads policy, and you put your own site that YOU created onto the website. If they then went to break their part of the contract by putting ads on the site, that breaks the Data Protection policy and you could take them to court if you wanted. Not that you would... flotwig
Good. For future reference: most injected footer ads can be avoided by adding <?php die(); ?> to the end of your page.
