GTA 5 (POSSIBLE RUMORS)

Recommended Posts

Yes Maybe same city like L.a. Noire but not a cop. I mean, If this is trying to refer too True Crimes games then I have to say no again. Look, L.a. Noire come out basically a month ago. More like just a couple weeks ago, Some people might have finished it or not. But, If your playing as a cop It isnt Grand Theft Auto. Maybe one of the characters you do missions from like GTA IV. But the proganist being as a Cop doesnt suit anything

Overall this is a really good find icon14.gif

Contributing to the likelihood of Los Angeles as the location for the next GTA game is the fact that Officer Tenpenny and Officer Pulaski make an appearance at some point in the game (and possibly play vital roles throughout the game).

I wonder how two dead guys could play a vital role in the next GTA...

This is clearly total bullsh*t...

That site looks about as legitimate as, well I don't know what. The fact that it's hosted on a free service only adds the the credibility. sigh.gif

As for that supposed storyline, that just sounds stupid. It's Grand Theft Auto, not some cop simulator or a modern day knock off of LA Noire.

100% agree on this, GTA isn;t a cop game, i think they just took all the hype about LA Noire and turned it into gta.

It's called Grand Theft Auto; there's no way its going to give you the option to play it straight as a cop, unless he's a crooked f*cker from the start and gets rumbled.

I'm still confident that Rockstar haven't the balls to set it anywhere other than Vice City.

Beginning as a rookie cop and climbing up the ranks? That's so LA Noire. This can't be true if you ask me, R* doesn't usually lack imagination like that.

Yeah, I can't imagine R* releasing two free roaming police based games within a year or two of each other. It sounds a little too much like True Crime to me.

This is obviously bullsh*t and the dude that made this needs to be f_cking castrated. I feel sorry for the people that actually think Rockstar will actually model GTA V off of LA Noire. Honestly people use some f_cking common sense and stop believing everything you see on the internet. Anyone, could've written a lengthy paper detailing what GTA V will be/look like, claim they have an inside source and give some redundant answers as to why they're right and we are wrong to doubt them.

If anything, this is the plot from a cancelled True Crime game with hints of GTA sprinkled in to add good measure. Really, Tenpenny and Pulaski come back from the dead to help me? Give me a f_cking break!

How anyone can believe you'll play a cop in a GTA game honestly needs to get their head sorted out.

I don't know what to believe anymore. I wish this was true but I don't think it is.

Can I ask why you have a Bieber avatar? You're jumping the gun a little early there. There's plenty of time left.

I'll switch back to my old one in hope for something good about GTA V tomorrow.

Yeah I found that GTA rumors website and joined this forum to see if you guys thought it was real (after lurking a little while and didn't find the topic). Seems a bit fishy but would be fun if true.

In hindsight I bet the site was carefully crafted to get advertising hits.

more as i look at it...however though.. if true.. im open for the idea..

i think gamers now a days, don't want there favorite franchises changed that much.. they want the same formula, repeat, repeat, repeat,, with new features, but basically the same game

i think games need to change, even games from successfull franchises.. to pull in new players to the series.. keep stuff the "old" fans, and make the game open to new fans, who didn't like the current formula for GTA..

I for 1 didn't like the current formula(as much as say gta vc or sa. if only they were done in a more "realistic" manner.) and honestly it's been nearly impossible for me to constantly replay gta 4 once i've gone through the story once or twice.( as i've been able to do with previous gtas)

When it boils down to it gta 4 is basically a graphically enhanced gta 3, that is to say it has a storyline, free roam with cars and not much else.(nothing that holds repeated, long lasting interest anyway.)

I disagree with your assessment of gamers wanting the same repeated formula.(speaking atleast for myself anyway)

I, myself would like more depth in gameplay associated with side activities/missions and features, which I feel R* could've done already, but always seem to come up short as compared to some of the things that have been in games like gta, such as scarface, godfather, & assasins creed brotherhood that have "features" in them that would greatly enhanced anyone of the gta games and that R* probably could've done 1st and better then these other games.

To sum up what i'm saying, I feel that R* hasn't reached near it's potential with what the gta series has already got and is about, (which they should've already done, in my opinion, starting with gta sa down to and especially gta 4.) to the point where they should feel confident about drastically altering it and making the main protagonist a cop. (or a women for that matter, while we're on the topic of alterations.)

This sounds pretty legit if you ask me...

I've heard a lot of mention of LA recently and it makes sense. The aim of SA and IV was always to get out of the life you have and lead a normal happy life, just sounds like you start a little higher up than previous games.

I really do hope this is true my only problem with it is if this informant didn't get any basic information how did he manage to get the entire story of the game?

Who agrees this is what LA NOIRE should have been? This is not GTA material. Give us a thug and a crime drama or at least make us a retired cop with an axe to gtind and an itchy trigger finger. Fucj protocol take this detective crap to LA NOIRE which was a huge dissapointment. Jack Kelso was the only good thing of that game.

My theory is that R* used foreshadowing by naming LA Noire DLC as The Naked CITY Vice Case

Probably not. Cole Phelps also says "Grand Theft Auto" and "GTA" during a car-theft case, but he doesn't wink at the camera, it's completely straight and in context. "The Naked City" is based on a 1948 film title that Rockstar licensed to include in the game, and "Vice" is, of course, the morality-crimes desk at police departments, and the basis for the title of "Miami Vice" which is why Rockstar named their version of Miami "Vice City".

Yes, I know which film it is referring to, and yes, obviously we all know what Vice is. But one can theorize?

Also, I haven't played LA Noire so I can't say with any certainty that Phelps didn't not wink at the camera.

Also, my theory was sarcasm
