Hmmm

Make the .col file and export!(.col only)

At the DFF IO import your soccer thing and exprt it with the .col file that you made.

Open your new object in 3DS Max.

Make sure it looks the way you want.

Save/export your object as .3DS (IT MUST HAVE THE SAME NAME AS THE .DLL OF YOUR NEW OBJECT OR IT WONT WORK!!!)

Open Steve's Collision Editor II. Get that HERE.

Open your object.

Click on EDIT MODE.

Click the Tab that says SPHERE.

Scroll down and click CREATE.

Do the same for the tab that says BOX.

Now click on the FACES tab.

Highlight the parts of the model like you would in Max.

Under SURFACE SETTINGS you can click the dropdown bar with the three dots on it and select the type of material your object is. Metal, stone, etc.

Save your object.

What I would do now is use Map editor to find the collision file archive for the area where you are adding this object.

Extract it from your GTA3.IMG using IMGtool and open it with the col editor.

Select ADD, and place your new col file in the archive.

Save it.

MAKE SURE YOU BACK UP THE ORIGINAL COL FILE FIRST!!!!

Now find the file in GTA.IMG again, highlight it, and select REPLACE from the command options.

Select your new col archive that youve added your custom file too.

Finally, select REBUILD ARCHIVE under commands and wait for it to finish.

Now place your object using Med and try your game.
