San Andreas Nostalgia!

Recommended Posts

Dooqx

Back in the day GTA San Andreas was way ahead of its time. A whole state recreated with 3 cities and nearly a dozen small towns and ghost towns. Couldn't believe what I saw! I remember the first time I played it. Such a different vibe than that of GTA Vice City but with its own charm. It took me a few days to get used to the movement controls (cars steered more slowly in comparison to those in GTA VC) but after I got that under control I fell in love with the game. I still play it every now and then and I got to say, there is no game in the world that can give me the same feeling as GTA SA still does.

To be honest, I wish for R* to do one thing only; recreate GTA SA with the GTA 5 graphics and release this game again. Man.. would that be awesome.

Playing the vigilante sub-mission on a HPV-1000.

The bikes' handling is much better than in Vice City, with the code to explode the vehicles on touch, an invincible CJ, infinite ammo for my SMG and minigun (among others), nearly empty roads and the alternations between cities and countryside this job is very pleasant although it takes a longer time than in the other episodes.

Playing around with cheats, using the flying cars cheat with a tank, indestructible CJ, like Superman with all the bullets bouncing off him. Radio X and KDS-T playing when flying the Hydra. Good times playing this game.

Everything is random in Grand Theft Auto San Andreas, Thanks to it RenderWare engine this game successfully always make me surprised.

For example:

If you're on the middle of El Castillo del Diablo you might see a Ranger chasing random car/bikes, Random Rustler plane crashing into arches and (might false) ghosts.

That's why i relly love Grand Theft Auto San Andreas. I still have 1.0 SA on PC and i consistently making videos of it.

Mike Andrews' commercial. I love the way it caricatures the right-wing mentality and the way Andrews speaks compared to his speech's content, it's just so epic. It's my favorite advert in all the GTA's I have.

Los Santos, specially downtown and glenpark surroundings. Love driving like a maniac in LS with an infernus equipped with nos, shooting down tons of helis, 6 star mess, riding in BMX, increasing stats, grinding criminal rating, I love so many things about this game ❤.

I remember the satisfaction of taking all gang territories.

I don't know if they ever make a GTA game like SA again.

Same. That always was a grate feeling. Whats even better is that i created Grove territory in all cities :D LS obviously SF, and LV. So grove controls certain parts in all three cities. SA is still on my top favorite gta's.

I should replay GTA SA again soon.

Damn, what a masterpiece. Infinite replayability.

I miss all those old days. Using jumpjet jet cheat and flying recklessly all the time.

Too bad both IV and V lagged behind GTA SA in terms of game content and replayability.

I didn't take over all the territories because I won't have no one to drive by at. It would get boring with no enemies gang. I would let them keep like 2 or 3 territories. Edited by 4nsmiley

we don't give a f*ck about GTA 6

we want GTA San Andreas 2

Ryder and Smoke were back in the story and apologize to CJ for betraying the grove.

Vario los aztecas are no longer beefing with grove street.

Los santos stays the same but it's changed

The game's action is now in 2003.

Let's say that, in GTA 3 Catalina low-key survived jumping out the helicopter in water

Darkel will also return and give us crazy missions, and ofcourse. He will be redisigned in the style of SA. For example a mission is that we gotta get a RC car and destroy 5 ballas cars.

There will be a mission from Caesar to fly in Vice City and clean Diaz's crib. Then it will become a safe house.

Liberty City and Vice City will also be cities where you gonna have missions.

You will be able to do ilegall street races in VC, LC & SA, but first you can buy your car and customize it yourself with nitro, tuning parts etc.

Sentinel XS, Deluxo, etc. all cars from GTA 3 & VC will be restored and even you can have 2 models.

III Infernus

VC Infernus

SA Infernus etc.

in the style of SA and same models from vc & iii

you can wash your car and even rob houses and own them.

Give big smoke's house an interior

B-Dup & big bear will be main characters.

new gang - Front Side Gangsidaz

Alcatraz will be restored

Fenton, Roller, Float all the unknown removed vehicles will be restored

if you find a Psycho Ped you'l get 100$ award

On a mission on Liberty City, Shoreside Valley "Not Enough Pennies for Skiing", with Cesar & Ryder as backup you need to kill Tenpenny and Pulaski, all his guards and save hernandez & catalina.

Mission fails : Cesar dies, Ryder dies, Wasted, Busted, Catalina dies, hernandez dies, Tenpenny goes away

Mission on Liberty City, Portland : Green Sabre True Color, you have to steal the green sabre with b-dup as backup and bring it to Sweet's garage.

Mission on San Andreas : You have to steal one of Vagos' "Vagos Hermes", bring it to the bomb shop and bring it back to the restaurant so you will kill the vago. Similar to "Mike Lips Last Lunch" mission from GTA 3.

Another Darkel mission, you have to plant a bomb with a RC bandit on a school bus, then, take it to the bomb-shop and put it back, activate the bomb and darkel will also activate the bomb so he can take revenge of schools (since he hated them as a kid) and i do too lol

Unwanted Memories : Given by Madd Dogg, you'l have to take-over Cartel mansion and now you'l own it, and then you'l have to chase Lil Weasel (balla member) that will steal a Sabre Turbo and roam around liberty, as a backup, you will have Sweet drive-bying the balla

Another mission : Grove around-the-world, you'l have to take 3 territories along liberty city and you'l own them. That will enable gang wars around Vice City/Liberty City/San Andreas

Doberman will be exactly like the beta, you'l have to kill Poncho.

Snake-car : You'l have a 6 doored gang rancher with the same handling as the banshee and you'l have to drive-by and takeover 7 territories across Liberty City, Vice City and of course San Andreas. The people you'l take in the 6 doored- rancher, Catalina, Sweet, Ryder, Cesar, B-Dup, CJ, with Big Smoke as a driver.

Another mission "Vice Liberty", you'l play as 3 characters (CJ,Cesar and Big Bear) and plant boms on all police stations.

"Doc-G" you'l have to help Doc-G, a rapper, to be famous, so for that, you need to steal from Vinyl Store 5 discs with rap instrumentals and give them back to Doc-G's house in San Andreas, Grove Street (next to CJ's house).

after that mission....

Big Smoke calls you for help to takeover his palace, because Ballas planted bombs and locked him inside. You'l have to take the Swat tank to break the walls and go to floor 4 to save big smoke, then he will say that he will re-make the palace soon and give it as your safe place.

The fact that a 2004 game can include a huge amazing map, the best gameplay, kickass missions, memorable characters, an excellent protagonist, a fantastic story, tons of side-activities, a superb soundtrack and a great theme.

GTA San Andreas is an immortal game and even after 14 years you will be amazed by new discoveries in this game.

I first played this game on my friends pc in 2010.I was so immeresed in the game that i didnt want to leave his house ( I had a potato pc back then) till my mom called me and i got good scolding for reaching Home late :p

When i played it on my pc in 2014 i did no missions.

Just used jetpack and roam around the map- cities, villages, forests, mountains, beaches so many beautiful places.

But my favorite hangout spot was grove street. I just love watching the sunset from CJs house rooftop, street lights slowly turning on,people walking around some smoking, talking while others riding bicycle.

That is very similar to my neighbourhood!

This game has a special place in my heart.

I always used pedestrian riot cheat and watch people murdering each other, stealing things; lol.

Also I love getting hydra and flying recklessly until I crash somewhere.

I miss old days.

This ability to turn the streets into battlefields in 2 times 3 movements is a bliss. I love bringing the minigun, destroy a car stuck in the traffic jam to destroy 10 others in a chain reaction, the beheaded corpses flying, the angry gangsters running to me and getting out of their cars to shoot me without forgetting the police helicopter watching the area which I destroy during a blink of the eye to make it explode in the street and add to the bloodbath.

So many feels in this thread. Its maybe hardest not to feel some nostalgia for Grove street. The gameplay sort of creates it. Even after you have a mansion and a ton of money, don't you feel some urge to go back to that cul-de-sac on Grove street?

I've spent hours just wandering. I love getting lost, and I still can. It amazes me that even to this day, I still discover new things, or some ped will pop off with some comment I never heard before and make me laugh. Or how a simple trip to the Cluckin Bell across the street ends up being a police chase with SWAT teams after you because some cop rear-ended you at an intersection and it escalates.

But getting lost. Real life or San Andreas, I love getting lost.
