Sabresloth
I have been playing the Pc version of GTA IV recently, and after about 30 mins, i have the weirdest glitch. The ground, buildings, and anything that isn't physics based disappears, and the only way to get around this is by restarting the game. If anyone has any tips to help, that would be most appreciated. I am running the retail disc copy, on maximum settings with great performance. Pc specs: Windows 7, Core i7 2.8Ghz, 4gb Ram, NVIDIA GTX 470 3gb Thanks

nkjellman
I had that issue too when I upgraded to Windows 7. I fixed it by going into control pannel, power settings. In there I set up my power plan to be prefer max performance. Another thing you could try is the mem restrict command. Look in the Extream Texture Pop-in and it should be in there. (The sub title says "Feels like Xbox 360"). Edited May 22, 2011 by nkjellman
luceberg
I note you play on maximum settings. Is that really necessary? If you have Windows 7 64 bit, try the commandline "-reservedApp 0", on it's own at first.

Sabresloth
How do i check the power supply model? i mean i could just open the computer... lol. but i know it uses a heck of an amount, but its also plugged into a powerboard, which might affect it as there are printers and the like sharing the same board. Yes, i do find it nessecary to max out the games if i can Ill try scaling down the graphics to allow for more memory, and see if that affects it. thanks for the help guys
Dwagginz
How do i check the power supply model? Unless you've got documentation for it floating about, the only way to check is to get the case open and find the sticker. You might need to remove the power supply, however.
