car Upgrades

I just recently conquered all 30 Empires and was informed that all the cars outside of my businesses were now 'upgraded'.

 

The only thing is that i did not notice a difference while driving these cars.

 

My question is What is the difference? What does the upgrade actually do?

The upgrade is the vehicles outside of your businesses become bulletproof.
