theslappe
Hello, I bought the game this morning and sinds then i'm looking for a solution for my lag problem in GTA4. I know there are 1.001 solutions online but non of them seems to be working.. Windows 7 home premium 64 bit SP1 intel core i3 CPU M350 @2.27ghz 4.0 gb ram ATI mobility radeon HD 5470 graphics 1gb I triede the command line chizzle and it didn't work ( around -memrestrict 314572800 i had some improvement..), Xlife,... It's verry frustration knowing that some games could be played at medium to high on a high resolution with this laptop but tis game stil have lag on 800X600 with everything on low or off. Sorry for my bad english! Kind regards, Sam.
Exxon
Your processor is pretty slow, and your video card isn't good either. That one isn't really made for gaming. About the commandline, which do you have? Do you use '-noprecache'? If not, use it. Which patch are you using? If you're using 1.0.7.0, re-install the game and use patch 1.0.4.0. Exxon
i'm using patch 1.07.i will unistal it again and try 1.04.. i havent used that command yet. only the commands from this link http://www.gtaforums.com/index.php?showtopic=404147 thanx for the help Oke, then first try to use these: -noprecache -novblank -notimefix -nowapdelay -disableimposters Although I don't know if the last 4 actually work, but you should really use -noprecache. If that doesn't work, re-install and use patch 1.0.4.0 I'll see how it goes. By the way, I don't know if it's useful for you to use -memrestrict 314572800 as I am using -memrestrict 375575800 with a 2 GB card Edited May 21, 2011 by Exxon
