scooz
Im running windows 7 64 bit Intel HD graphics...im assuming the integrated one intel core i3 processors. im not sure what you guys need to know exaclty. But the game runs. Its a little slow but it runs, though it wont load the textures once i start driving around for a few seconds. The usual problem. Ive searched relentlessly on the subect but no one has the same setup i have and im not sure what to do. Any help would be greatly appreciated. mkey82
GTAIV doesn't run well on integrated graphics, not much you can do about it. Use xliveless and try an older game version, like 1.0.1.0 or 1.0.4.0.

scooz
Ugh i have haha computers are so freaking difficult. No one has the same issues as me with the same setup. Im still searching though but i cant find a single answer. I know where the patches are but Im not sure how to install them...just unzip and drag into the gta folder? and the xliveless isnt working right for me either. Hopefully this will solve the graphics problem but idk. Edited May 18, 2011 by scooz

diablo440
sandy bridge and clarkdale actually have an internal QPI bus and decent clocks, like with others including new AMD APU, too few cores and 64bit shared memory interface though. The memery interface is the real killer, you could play low-res if it wasn't for that and get ~15 frames. Edited May 19, 2011 by diablo440
radioman
This would depend on what version you have-If you have the Retail(DVD) version, you can use what ever patch you want, but...if you have the Steam version, I think the latest patch is installed with the game.? But...you are lucky the game even runs on that card, as Intel Video cards ARE NOT supported by IV, as noted in the Pinned "Can I Run it..." thread AND on the box the game came in. The Minimum video cards are ATI Radeon X1900/Nvidia 7900 or better with at least 256MB Dedicated vram(at least 512MB Dedicated recommended). Intel cards have shared vram, so not all of the vram goes for gaming and thus would explain the performance issues. You CAN play III, VC, and SA just fine on that card, but not IV. But, my question is, Why would the game run on an Intel card with Windows 7, but not with XP SP3? I tried it, and it does not run at all-and this was on a Intel Centrino(Core 2 Duo), 3GB RAM, with SP3 for XP Professional. You'd think it would be the other way around, since XP uses less Ram than 7 does.?

unc13bud
i don't exactly about the i3's igp set, but google says the 4500 mhd only has 10 stream processors. even a 8400gs has 16, to run decently, at least 48 stream processors are needed to run shader heavy games (GTAIV)
