Kyle F Posted May 18, 2011 Share Posted May 18, 2011 I was ashamed of my dream last night...I dream't I had a parcel come to my door with my new PS3...as soon as I opened it, I plugged it up and started playing some Black Ops then my mother woke me up and spoils my dream! - The strangest thing is I went to the door waiting for the parcel to arrive!....and it never did! El Zilcho Posted May 18, 2011 Share Posted May 18, 2011 I had a bit of a nightmare my neck was snapped (think by my Dad actually, don't know why) and I was then paralysed. It felt real so for a few seconds I was pretty scared at the prospect of lifetime quadriplegic paralysis. Docfaustino Posted May 18, 2011 Share Posted May 18, 2011 Ever been in a room with a kid who's way too in to a dream? At summer camp, a guy started speaking his dream out loud. We tried to shine flashlights in his face, but he was f*cked up in so many ways. Eventually, we just started to manipulate him, asking what kind of cookies he wanted (oatmeal raisin), and giving them to him. They would appear in his dream. This is an interesting phenomena that I'd really like to read more about, but I can't for the life of me figure out where to start. For a couple years of my life, I would dream incredibly vividly. Every dream would be an escape from prison or concentration camp type of dream, where I would be repeatedly shot, tased, or otherwise electrocuted. When I had that neck snapping dream, I felt my neck as if the tendons and bones where twisting, I even felt what felt like a crunching snap. Horrible sensation. I have, and I know how to wake myself up from dreams, I just close my eyes really tight when I'm asleep and the next thing I know, I'm awake! I once had a dream where my big brother (please don't think this is racist) turned black and had a massive afro, it was really freaky, and in my sleep I kept trying to wake up but I just couldn't. I actually thought it was happening. And I also had a dream where by Dad broke my older brothers legs and then he had to walk on his hands. really weird... The closes I've ever come to something like that is a inner-body warmth if I get stabbed in a dream or near suffocation if I accidently roll onto my face when I sleep, I struggle to breath when this happens and I don't even wake up to be able to breath again, I just fade into another dream and then I can breath again. Quick question does anyone here sleep walk in their dreams? My mum used to sleep walk alot and when she wakes up she'll either be in the bath or lying on the sofa. Otter Posted May 19, 2011 Share Posted May 19, 2011 Do you guys ever think that, maybe, dreams are a form of mind control from the government to wipe out any inconsistancies we may have subconsciously picked up during the day? Think about it - dreams present us with absurd situations that we, mostly, forget the vast majority. Would it be so difficult to erase "other" memories in the same fashion? Perhaps sensitive memories, that the government does not want you to have, meanwhile satiating your desire for the 'different' and 'other' experiences supplied by dreamstates themselves. If only we could somehow record these dreams - to find out what, exactly, is being pulled from our minds. And by whom. Why haven't we heard more about this? Who is covering it up? As the dirt was being poured on me I had that "aha!" moment when I realized it was a dream, and started to fly out of there. The best way I could describe it is if you ever played the Jurassic Park game for Sega Genesis/Megadrive, there was a code where you could just kind of float your guy around the level. sh*t was just like that. I have these dreams where I may realize that I'm dreaming, but the very moment I realize it, the awaken consciousness wakes my body up, so I fail to lucid dream. I have re-occurring dreams, a lot. Same types of enviroments, "characters", everything. Not like I see the same dream everyday, but they re-occur regularly. I also dream about falling a lot, I hear that should be a scary experience linked with mental inbalance, but as far as I know, I'm not crazy like that.
