Question for the book readers:

 

Does Littlefinger care about Sansa at all, or is he just using her to advance himself, or both?

Firstly, all of this stuff is off-book, completely new for the show (hence my lack of spoilers)but I believe Littlefinger does care for her as she is the daughter of his great, unrequited love, Cat, plus her age puts her at the Westerosi "sweet-spot" for hotness. As pedophilic as it might seem...

 

That doesn't preclude him from using people for his own gain though. I believe truly what Varys said about him "he would see this country burned to the ground just so long as he could be king of the ashes." He may love her, but if she doesn't work for his advantage in some way, she is a total loss, in his eyes.

 

But that's just my opinion, I could be wrong.

Thats what i think too. he does care for her in his own twisted way. But still see her as a valuable piece for his gains as well. he seems to have that talent.

 

Still though, i think shes way better off without him.

I dunno... maybe now, but without him she'd probably be dead, definitely still stuck in the ever more dangerous King's Landing. He also inspired her to make the "Darth Sansa" transformation which will probably save her life. but I have no clue... because of the level of "off book" this portion of the story is. I think she is headed north... and will probably need his help a bit there too.

Varys is starting to show his true nature, he is not as bad as i thought he was. He does seem like one of the good guys.

I think Varys is very much like little finger, he only seems like one "of the good guys" because he wants to support Dani. Which is the best situation for him as he can tel none of the Lannisters can rule the 7 Kingdoms without it tearing it'self apart. He supported Robert as a way to stay alive when the crown changed hands and just rested as he saw the 7 kingdoms at peace due to the bond between Robert and Ned,

 

 

but he kept working with Dorne and keeping an eye on Dani, spying for her in order to try to keep her alive because he saw how once Robert died, the Lannisters would be in charge and things would go south quickly.

 

 

which is why he wanted Ned to live at the wall, to bide time for Dani to get strong and sweep in. In my view, there are only a handful of players, maybe even less than the half number of full fingers Davos has remaining in-tact, who have more than their own personal gains as main motivating factors.

His motives make sense to me. Both him and Littlefinger are snakes, Obviously Varys would want his personal gain before everything. but Littlefinger is just.. i dunno, seems more sinister.

 

The reason he wants to help Dani is because she might be a better ruler than the Lannisters. Which to me doesn't sound bad at all. There isnt really a good guy in this series, but he's one of those who comes close to being that.

Right, but had no problem with the Mad King. I truly believe he only wants a "better ruler" so the government that keeps him fat and happy keeps him safe as well. Bad rulers beget rebellions, and those USUALLY don't bode well for those in power.

this girl needs to figure out her ruling strategy.

she has no idea what she wants apparently. it seemed like she was more focused when she was lost and wandering through the desert. I don't know what she's doing in this pyramid city exactly. Varys is trying to convince Tyrion that this girl should be queen on the iron throne, yeah?

 

not only is she unprepared but didn't Varys plot to have her killed?

at some point. isn't that why Ser Jorah was banished?

Both skilled players of the game, for sure. I wouldn't lump Varys in with Petyr though; his intentions are far more noble and LF is just in it for himself.

Dany just simply needs Jorah to return, he guided her in times before. Even tho Selmy and the others are helping her, i feel he's the only one who knows her more than those bunch.

Liked the episode, but man... the election was really robbed. I loved how Jon came to be the LC, how Sam thought of it as almost a last ditch effort... felt very cheapened. Oh well, excited to see some of his first actions.

Arya's character and the actress who plays her are very good. She always makes a good team with any actor they put her with. The Hound, The sword teacher, Tywin, and now Jaqen. sure those characters are good on their own too. but she always has a cool chemistry with them.

 

Anyone pissed that Dany killed the former slave? That didnt make sense to me. it was cruel and stupid. At least lock him in a cell for a time if you wanna make a point about disobeying orders, not a public execution. What did she actually hope to achieve doing that? He was right about the Sons of The Harpy. She's lost and doesnt seem to know what to do. Thats why i really dont like her character. She keeps shifting, she isnt defined. Now she just angered the people in the city, and the Sons will keep doing what they were doing. She should have listened to Mossador, Meet them with force. He known them and had far more experience with them than the rest on the council.

 

My favorite moments are now Arya's road to becoming an assassin, Jamie and Bronn in Dorne, and Stannis. Hope Bronn survive his trip to Dorne, I dont want him killed.

 

Also i really dont like that guy with Dany, the one who is pushing her to open the fighting pits. He's up to no good.

It's even worse that stupid as f*ck, lolJamie rapes Cersei scene from last season. And man, I thought I would have cooled to it after 3 weeks, but nope. It's just terrible.

And poor Sansa cant catch a break. this is why i dont like Littlefinger being with her, Ramsay looked taken by her tho. Could he actually treat her well?..
