gtafreak102
I can't boot up windows 7 on my desktop. It says that " A problem has been detected and the os has shutdown to prevent damage to your computer". I'm using my wii's internet now. I also can't find my restore cd. Wolf68k
So when you try to boot into SafeMode you get the same thing? If so then it sounds like you're screwed unless you get it to load last know good configuration but it doesn't sound like that's possible either. Wolf68k
The only thing you can do is take the drive out, put in a USB case and hope that you can still access the drive on another system to copy you files off. It's possible you can get something like Knoppix or Ubuntu both of which are LiveCDs of Linux, boot from that and do the same backup burning to CD/DVD. Far out possible option is SpinRite but that's more of a hardware fixer.

Then make a backup. I really don't need the data on the computer.
Wolf68k
If there is nothing on the drive you need to forget the back up. But what I meant was putting the drive in a USB enclosure and connect it to another computer.
gtafreak102
I know what caused the problem. It was a corrupt driver. I changed the memory too. How do I fix the corrupt driver if I can't access the desktop?
Wolf68k
How do you know it's a bad driver? SafeMode should be stopping the driver from running. Which driver is it?
