gtafreak102
What do you prefer XP, Vista or 7? I prefer Windows 7, although it was much like Vista.
_Rob_
Well as it stands, they're all crap, but due to compatibly we're forced to use them, XP is better IMO, I know it's older but it's quicker and will run pretty much anything Vista or 7 will
drscot
Agreed. all bullsh*t, but their isn't really another affordable alternative.
riquenunes
Even with my ultra fast computer with 512 MB of RAM I prefer Windows 7. Way more stable than Vista if you ask me.
sivispacem
I've never had a software related system crash on Windows 7 (Pro x64). I've had hardware related ones, and program crashes, but never a fully system crash. I've been using 7 for about 2 years now. Vastly more impressed with it than any other Windows operating system I've ever used. GTA 360
I adore W7. Hated Vista with a passion! This, I still like XP though, but I like the more modern look of 7. Never had any problems with any of them as of yet. (touch wood)

UNRATED69
I prefer 7. The new things that they added in help me a lot sometimes, and I've never had any problems with it.

I jumped from XP to 7 recently. I had an XP disc for years and used it on my old PC and the new one I have now. XP certainly is better on old machines that just can not handle the performance of new programs (Games and audio editing applications) but when I finally got a 7 disc for this new computer, many programs loaded so much more quickly than when I used XP. 7 just seems so much more streamlined for quick processing. darthYENIK
I like Windows 7. Only been using it for a couple months, but it's pretty good. I never used Vista, but 7 is a definite step forward from XP.
Jago
I love Windows 7, have never had any problems with it. On the other hand, Vista was unstable, and totally unsupportive with computer problems (couldn't find better sound drivers than the ones that were making it BSOD for example). A very rushed product if you ask me, even with all the updates, it's still awful.
trip
I've been using 7 on most of my machines since the early betas, and have no complaints. I think MS did a really good job with 7. Torcidas
I used XP for the majority and liked it a lot, fast and simple. Vista is basically the brown stain on the collective underwear of operating systems. As for Windows 7..... I use it now, a great step-up, pretty fast and the look and feel of it is very nice after you get used to it. At school we use some weird version of Linux, not sure which one it is... maybe ubuntu... anyways, that ones not bad either.

SWEETSAPRIK
I've used all three, and prefer 7 only because it is the one I'm currently using. I used XP forever and had no complaints, I only switched to Vista because I was getting a new PC and XP wasn't an option preloaded, also I was getting 8GB of RAM and XP 64bit was a bit dodgy in certain areas. I used Vista 64 for quite some time and had no complaints. Anyone who has more than just a passing knowledge of Windows can shut off the useless services in Vista making it use quite a bit less resources, and by the time Vista (64 at least) got to SP2 the driver problems it had at launch had been over with for a while. At that point the only remaining driver problems were the fault of whoever made the hardware, unlike in the beginning when it was 90% Microsoft's fault. Now when I first switched to Vista I didn't like how much RAM it used, but then I learned about how it was using that RAM and noticed that it could give it up the second something else needed it, as well as learning what services I could disable that were running by default even though I'd never have any use for them, and that wasn't a problem either. Having not picked up Vista until SP2 I never had to deal with any of the problems people went through at launch, I'm sure if I had I might have a much worse opinion of it. Then I decided to get my brother a laptop which was coming with Windows 7, and since I'm the guy that would get asked to do/fix anything that went wrong I decided to get it for myself. To be honest the only real difference IMO between Vista (premium) 64 SP2 and 7 (premium) 64 SP1 are aesthetic differences. I can't do anything in 7 that I couldn't do in Vista, nor does it fail to do anything I did in Vista, for the most part the main differences are where you go to find something, and what it looks like. It uses about the same amount of resources and it doesn't work any faster or slower, on my machine anyway. To be honest, if I was still running XP I'd have no problems with it, but the only reason I would possibly have to still be running it would be if I was still using a ten year old computer that didn't have the specs for anything newer. I could use either of the others with no problem though. PяopagaиdaIиc.
Girish
I believe I've been very lucky when it comes to operating systems. Right from the time since I started using Windows 98, I've not faced a single OS related issue. Hell, I even used Windows ME (possibly the worst OS ever) before upgrading to XP and I still didn't have any problems. I have Vista 32-bit installed on my desktop and I have been using it for more than 2 years now. No problems. I wouldn't even have bothered with the service packs if it wasn't a requirement for GTA IV. My laptop has 64-bit Windows 7 and that runs great too. Never had any problems getting applications or games to work either. Touch wood. I might upgrade my desktop to Win 7, but I'm too lazy. I have always been a little skeptical about hot upgrading the OS. I prefer the format and install method. Of course, it means I'll have to reinstall all my games/applications again but it's the one way I've ensured I've no problems all these years. Robinski
7 all the way. Vista was basically the Millennium Edition for this generation.

Oh hey, someone I can agree with. Basically, OS X Lion > OS X Snow Leopard > 7 > XP > Vista. Whenever I boot via Bootcamp, I boot into 7, and it's a p good OS. leik oh em jeez!
XP x64 or 7 Ultimate x64. I won't use anything else unless I'm forced to. (What? I've got 16Gb RAM, running a 32-bit OS would be stupid.) Edited May 17, 2011 by leik oh em jeez!
Finn 7 five 11
Like most i must say Windows 7, i don't like vista much, and windows XP i kept getting problems with "windows not being a genuine copy" even though it was.

MW_29
I won't ever say any wrong word about Win95, a long time ago i had it and i was really satisfied, while next, the 98 caused some problems, but that were the old times. Now i prefer windows 7 , i've been using win XP for years and it was good system but it couldn't get all of the potential of my hardware, while windows 7 simply and easily can, and is much much faster than XP was, well new times came ...and i had bad experience with vista so i'd say vista sucks
