Rokas.
So the thing is, I've been listening to really good music, including old school hip-hop, rock, rock'n'roll, jazz, house and etc. I mean so many genres. But now I seem to like some of fifties songs, is it wrong? and fifty is sometimes called the pop of hip hop. e.g. Edited May 16, 2011 by Rokas. Robinski
Liking many different genres is a good trait in my book. It shows an appreciation of more than one type of quality and an openness of the mind. Even better is liking stuff that you know people around you think is sh*t, but not caring. Listen to what you like and don't give a sh*t. I like to think of myself as a good example of it, with my shameless pop music held in the same regard as all my other "more credible" hardcore, rap, grime, rock, DnB and the like. Mati
It's not wrong at all, if you enjoy 50 then that's fine. If you would like Justin Bieber, its fine too. You can listen to whatever music you enjoy. Me for example, I was and am a hip-hop fan while I somehow enjoy oldies.
Cheat
Do what the f*ck you want man, like what the f*ck you like. It's not wrong to like and listen to different genres, my own taste in music is very diverse and I'm glad. When one "praises" a specific genre and that genre only, he, to me, appears as a very repressive and narrow-minded person.
Drift-Kingz
It's not wrong at all. You wanna listen to 50? Fine. Do it, and don't give a sh*t about what other people think. It's your life, you make the choices. Also, while I listen to a lot of metal and rock, I'm sometimes caught listening to Eminem a bit sometimes. Just his old songs though (infinite, mockingbird, lose yourself, etc).

Torcidas
50 gets a lot of flack because of his radio singles, ie; they suck. But some of the songs on GRODT and The Massacre aren't too bad... for instance In My Hood and I Don't Need Em aren't bad tracks.. And yeah to stress out what the other members said, listen to what you enjoy and don't let others play a part in your preferences.
trip
It is wrong to listen to 50 cent. Be sure to stay as close minded as possible - especially when it comes to music. Really, the safest thing to do is just listen to what your friends listen to. Rokas.
Cool, guys. Totally agree with most of you. Right after this topic yesterday I asked a good friend of mine if he thinks it's wrong, and he said the same thing! So yeah, now I realise I'm listening to what I like, not what others like. People always knew me as a guy who listens to a lot of different genres, but 50 is really not something they expect. But I don't give a f*ck. ChossenOne
Dude? Of course it is. Don't you know listening to 50 Cent will only lead to drugs and drive-bys! Seriously though. Don't ever feel bad about what music you like to listen to. It's good to explore and listen to different artists and genres, and not be so simple minded when it comes to musical knowledge. A life without music is no life at all, if you ask me. So if you wanna listen to some 50, then go right ahead man.

Mister Pink
Ok, everyone is on a righteous buzz, listen to whatever you like...blah, blah, blah... Of course, this is true, but... 50 cent for me represents Pop-Hop and I can bullsh*t you and pretend that I wont judge you on it but I do. 50 Cent is like a contradiction in your music taste. If you like Hip Hop then you'll appreciate much better than this sh*t. Sorry. I'm drunlk RUBBΣR░J♢HNNY (スオッ)

Rokas.
ThePinkFloydSound the question was is it wrong that I listen to 50 cent along with all other genres including true hip-hop. sorry, but your opinion doesn't say sh*t compared to all others. Why would it be 'wrong?' I like to listen to Drum & Bass, then maybe some The Doors and then some Aphex Twin and so forth. Having a diverse music taste is what it's all about in my opinion. The more music genres, the merrier. RUBBΣR░J♢HNNY (スオッ)
