diablo440
GTA main-franchise on a cell-phone chip, I still get a laugh out of this BS ^^ You do realize that only the DS line of Nintendo products has EVER used ARM right? Gamecube and Wii both use PowerPC processors, just like the 360 and PS3, and the Café is rumored to have the same or a better version of the 360's PowerPC CPU. I don't know where your information comes from, but it is false and misleading. 730Mhz PPC and a ARM chip with a ATI GPU all clocked around 200Mhz. This is why people knew all the Wii claims were BS, and the next Nintendo unit is still going to be based around ARM and efficiency. I'm sure you know all about it though.. No, its a PPC CPU and an ATI videocard with an ARM-based sub processor for controlling wireless functions ONLY. (WiFi, Bluetooth...) You need to get your facts straight before you start posting BS. (And stop giving ARM so little credit, Windows 8 is going to run on ARM, and we all know how much of a CPU hog Windows is.) The claims about the next Nintendo console say that it will be a 3 core PPC CPU at the same or higher clock as the 360, with ATI video as well, and that it will have a Wii built in just like the Wii had a Gamecube built in. So the only thing ARM based on it would likely be for the WiFi, Bluetooth, or the touchscreen in the controller.

Kratos2000
I didn't even think about buying GTA V at all. I could get the same entertainment from GoW:Portable Collection/RDR/U3. Especially if they decide to go with Nintendo.
Capricornus
It's cute yet funny how everyone likes to diss the Wii/Nintendo when it's the best selling console out of the three. Me owning all 3 consoles, I find a certain joy in this. Now, as for a GTA game being exclusive to a Nintendo console (after China Town Wars of course), hey, I wouldn't mind getting it. But at the same time I can't really see it happening because of Nintendo's rep for supposedly being able to only make "kiddy games", and R*/T2 may look at that. Either way I'll be getting the Wii 2 or whatever it'll be called.

WhistleBlower
I don't think GTA will ever cross Nintendo's lips. Nor any other mature game. GTA: Chinatown Wars, Red Steel, Resident Evil 4 etc. But yeah, the simple fact is that GTA games are almost always marketed to the Sony, Microsoft, and PC crowds. They will never go down the exclusive route again. No self-respecting company out there wants to lose money.

Now days the motion controller is outdated, but when it was released it was pretty new tech to the public, if it isn't a reason to buy a wii then why did PS3 and Xbox move down the same route? SheHePaedo
Why are some people saying "if" Wii 2 is more powerful than 360 and PS3.......of course it will. It'll blow both away put together. If not then why bother? I have a funny feeling that GTA V will be on Wii 2 first. Just take the controller for example. The screen could be used for map, phone, weapon and other information without detracting from what's happening on screen. Maybe RS after marking RDR had bigger ideas for doing the next GTA and were looking to the next generation? With MS & Sony not putting forward anything for a couple of years, Nintendo is RS's viable option. If this happened it would be a strange world we live in wouldn't it? Like you said, the wii was new tech and people thought it was cool. It was the cheapest console so people went for it. Then they bought over 50 games because its so damn boring. You compare that to xbox or ps3, nintendo won that, but their popularity sucks compared to ps3 and xbox. To people who know much about gaming will say the wii is only good for games such as smash bros. I doubt the Cafe or w/e they want to call it will blow away the competitors at all because nintendo knows not to make an expensive console. I sure their max for their new console will be 300$ and that won't get them much further then the ps3 and xbox is because they still have to think about their motion crap they need to upgrade to make better then it is. Its like the 3ds... Not much of an improvement what so ever except the 3d that gives everyone headaches. Nintendo is going for uniqueness as microsoft and sony are going for gaming. Ds - 3ds not much of an improvement. Psp1000 - ngp. Ngp supposedly can play ps3 games lol. So I really doubt nintendo will out do xbox360 and the ps3. abottig
This has been brought up before all over the web. Rockstar is talking to Nintendo about releasing GTAV on the Wii2(?). That doesn't mean it will be exclusive. I predict GTAV will be released for all three platforms(360/ps3/wii2) simultaneously, with the Wii2 version being the superior version... Until PC is released and patched like hell.

Anyone buying this "Nintendo exclusive" BS probably gets excited every time some financial analyst magically predicts that R* will release the game "next quarter". And how many of these Wall Streeters have made such claims about the next GTA, already? How many of them turned out to be right? The fact is, any exclusive is going to have a better chance than a port will, no matter which way it goes. Yeah i am getting a little bugged by your incorrectness. I suppose you learn from your mistakes. I am with jnzooger that PS3 added the motion controller to help compete with the wii, who was and still is leaps and bounds ahead in terms of sales. I have a PS3 but i am still pretty sure that it was a last minute add-on.
UserCommenter
Its obvious from IV that the ps3 didn't hold xbox back at all. Considering rockstar made it for the xbox the ported it over to the ps3. Same with all multi-platform games. Its always ported straight from xbox to the ps3 because its easier that way. Worse for ps3 players. Have a look at LA Noire before you say that. They did that one on the PS3 and then ported it to the 360, and the 360 version suffers because of it. Just now seen and ps3 did make the lead. Though from I just read it came out for the better and the problems xbox might be experiencing are not from the porting. If you did not know, the ps3 is harder to create games for and way easier to create on the xbox. Its why porting from xbox to ps3 never turns out good. You can't just make something hard instantly easy by doing it that way. So problems with the xbox I highly doubt is because of the porting. Though I'm sure if xbox does have a problem the ps3 does as well and its most likely a game error more then being a porting issue. Sixaxis did come around towards the end of the wii but it was implanted into the controllers before the wii was released. sony wanted to have some motion in the controller. The move idea came shortly after the wii was created though... So no my "incorrectness" is not incorrect. It is a fact. I still find it too much of a coincidence also i wouldn't say the PS3 would be harder to code, just different
