Other than that, I'll just relax and probably take a trip. I visit New York at least 3 times each summer to visit my relatives, so I won't be surprised to find myself in Brooklyn and Queens.. Robinski Posted May 15, 2011 Share Posted May 15, 2011 Glad this thread popped up, because I'm in a great mood and thinking about my summer. First, I'll be going away on my first jaunt out of the country sans parents. Magaluf, June, mates from school. Good times. I've been away with a few of them before in the last two years to festivals and the like, but they've all been in England and camping. Even though I know our hotel's going to be scummy as hell, it'll be an improvement on my past two summers where you either sh*t at 7am or not at all, had to walk a half mile for water and slept on the ground. To make things better, my best mate never wanted to go to festivals 'cos they aren't his style but he's coming to Maga with us. Secondly, I'll be moving in with another two mates from school for my second year of uni. We fell out of touch after school and somehow ended up meeting again in a different city two years later, despite all doing different things (I'm at one uni, one lad's at the other one and the final is on a medical engineering apprenticeship). Things have a weird way of working out like that sometimes. Anyway that'll be great. Finally, depending on how my finances go after my previous two points I might try and see if I can swing myself a ticket for Leeds Festival in the final weekend of August. I only know one person who might be going, but if you've got one or two people to get there with and camp with you'll be able to make decent friends there once the drinks start flowing. The line up is stacking up pretty well this year too. Granted it's not as great as last year for me, but it'd still be a right laugh. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Other than that, play some football, some computer games, things like this. Mostly, just enjoy every day of it, just like I did in 2010. I've been thrifty enough for the past ten years to save up a good €7,500 €8,300 (woo, conversion rates!) of the €115 the state's been giving me per month since birth. I don't need no lousy job. I've been spending every waking hour studying for the past two weeks so I'll make sure to enjoy my ten weeks of not studying. I'm going to spend my summer on the beach reading all day, every day. I won't be able to take a vacation or buy anything fun My new motorcycle should have it's finishing touches by next week - following week if it rains all this week, so that will be a nice distraction for the days I just can't bring myself to paint or do all the other needed interior work I/my wife has planned for me. And to all of you who are talking about getting summer jobs...f*ck YOU ALL . I'm also not going to spend this summer feeling "depressed" over a "relationship"...I use the phrases loosely as looking back, I've wasted the past 2 summers being a pathetic child...this should be a good summer without the feigned "depression", hopefully with copious amounts of alcohol and a dubious amount of illegal substances. oh and great music and awesome people. Dymez. Posted May 15, 2011 Share Posted May 15, 2011 First, I plan on going back to my hometown in the Bay Area to visit my partner and talk business. As well as visit my friends and family there. Then, I have to catch a flight to Florida some time before July 4th for a Family Reunion on my mother's side. Then, I have to catch a flight to the DMV (DC., Maryland, Virginia) area by July 12th for a Family Reunion on my father's side. Then I may take a flight back home to Los Angeles and just chill or hitch a ride with some family at the reunion and ride with them to New York so I can meet my girlfriend and go to Brazil but we're undecided on that right now. Mainly because I want to toughen up, and exercise is something I'm mentally unable to cope with, and simply too lazy to do. Maybe I'll get a steady girlfriend or something aswell, since my life gets pretty dull from time to time. Or not, I lack people skills. I'm pretty sick of going out and drinking or doing drugs all the time. It gets really monotonous and dull. Fast. No clubbing this summer. Hopefully get a job and for some extra money buy my first own car. And if everything goes to plans i'll be heading to the States for a vacation.
