I never took it seriously, all I did was spread a point out. If anyone here is a retard, it's you. Making up a random statistic just to look smart? Get tha f*ck out of here.  icon13.gif

just to look smart? omg you idiot.. it was a random statistic, but its still valid, i said 95% of games can have good online play, and you know what? its probly MORE then 95% of games.

I'm gonna ask you, cite where 95% of games are suitable for implementing it into an online multiplayer aspect. Tell me, where did you get that from? Hmm? Because you seem to be spewing off random sh*t, which clearly doesn't make any sense.

of course that statistic was made up and random, your another example of a retard taking posts to seriously. oops seriously is the wrong word, i ment literally.

but tenfold is right, im out of here.

Ah the typical come up with an insult when someone makes a legitimate point.

@Drift-Kingz - Couldn't have said it better myself. By the way I'm one of those people that still play Mario to this day. The irony is that the guy that called Mario childish also used easy as a reason for that. Mario Galaxy 2 is actually harder than GTA IV! So are most Mario games mind you.

Although i do agree that every game can make good use of online features, what with the almost limitless modes fathomable. This isn't the issue of this thread, this conversation needs to end, and if you wish to continue it, take it somewhere else instead of destroying this thread.

And i love GTA, you are obviously not right in his eyes and insisting that you are right IS ignorant. Me personally, can think plenty of plausible heavy rain online features, and if you gave me enough time, me and my friends could probably come up with all sorts of online modes that could be used on every genre of game.

this.... exactly icon14.gif

and just to say, i clearly didnt mean every game in the world that has ever existed, i havent played that many games.

every game i have ever played COULD have online play, and WOULD benifit from it... including heavy rain, i cant think of anything to do online with that game, but other people will beable to.

even games i've never played, i could still think up sick sh*t to do online for them.

this has gotten off topic now like tenfold sais... end this.

@I Like GTA and Saints Row - Once again another point to explain how Mario isn't childish at all. Easy? Pfft, I think he's just over exaggerating a bit.

people who say.... if u miss features from san andreas, go play it.... are idiots.

sure driving, graphics and physics is better on GTA4.... nothing else is....

theres no country side, half the amount of vehicles, half the amount of weapons, u cant rob houses u cant do ANYTHING on GTA 4 apart from drive around and kill people.

gang wars was NOT better on IV then SA... please explain to me how it was.

GTA 4 WAS a dissapointment to ALOT of people for valid reasons.

stuff was taken out of SA for NO apparent reason... the theme of the storyline wasnt 1 of those reasons... (apart from turf wars, fair play thats strictly an SA type thing)

i could go on and on stating why people who say go play the old GTA's are idiots.

GTA WILL get boring if the next 1 is GTA IV.5... end of.

sorry about my typing style but the screen im on is annoying.

So let me get this straight you're saying GTA V will be boring if it's GTA IV.5, but you're also complaining about the stuff "taken" from SA. Technically if GTA IV had SA's stuff that would've made it SA.5 wouldn't you agree?

In the 3 years since GTA IV came out very rarely in these sort of threads does anyone actually think of any NEW ideas that could benefit new titles. I admit this one is going further beyond that, but it's usually the same old fanboys crying that they want their old features back.

If GTA IV has proven anything it's most people (not all) have no forward thinking, and would prefer to stay stagnant for the feeling of being safe, and reassured.

I've always applauded R* for stepping out side of their comfort zone with GTA IV. They probably knew well before GTA IV was finished a lot of the elements weren't going to sit well with most fans yet they still went ahead, but the thing is they never promised the world with GTA IV. I still remember reading pre-release articles by R* insisting on all the stuff they were NOT intending to put in the game, and yes a large majority of it was SA related. Effectively it wasn't "taken" away. It was NEVER intended in the first place.

Someone said that GTA V should takes cues from EFLC, and RDR, and I agree. With LA Noire just a couple of days away it could present some ideas for GTA V. I know it's not a whole R* product, but still there could be some ideas implemented.

Basically I would rather R* to use GTA IV, and other games since as a framework to build from. I don't want R* using SA as a building block, because SA is old news now. While there are some things I do miss I would like to see more improvements from existing elements (RDR is a great example), and some new things too.

The last thing I want is for GTA to remain in a time capsule which some of you guys seem to want for some reason.

I don't want R* using SA as a building block,

San Andreas could definitely be used as a source of development but not in terms such as physics and graphics, but in terms pertaining to atmospheric aspects. GTA San Andreas had a well developed atmosphere to it, ranging from gang riddled neighborhoods, to rich and luxurious areas. So 'excluding' these aspects from San Andreas and implementing it into another GTA title is not a problem at all. In Vice City we had rich and luxurious areas, and like I said, San Andreas as well. I'm not talking about physics and graphics here, I'm talking about the feeling and atmosphere.

So overall, SA could be used as a 'building block'. Just in separate areas though.

I was mainly talking about features, but I can see what you're talking about. Although in saying that it's pretty hard to implement something that is dependent on the person playing.

GTA IV had gang riddled neighbourhoods, and luxurious areas aswell, but the "feeling", and "atmosphere" is really something that differs for everyone. I understand your point, but just saying that's all.

I agree that every game should have multiplayer to at least socialize unsocializable people like you who disagree with everything that other people say...

To be honest, I think IV was just a test of the engine and V is where it will really go all out. It'll probably have more side activities than Saints Row 2 and more vehicle models than Just Cause 2 and both wacky fun and scientific realism (physics, chemistry, thermodynamics, that stuff) will coexist in a manner about 5 times more groundbreaking than even GTA IV.

i cant think of a game that SHOULDNT have online multiplayer.

every game should have online play.

EDIT : theres lots of improvement needed for GTA online though.

What about La Noire? I don't see how multiplayer would enhance the experience at all, i do agree MP is good in most games, but "its not worht buying without it" is a little naive.

Your saying GTA IV multiplayer needs improvement, well i personally thought it was just fine, "how can it be better?" not "it should be better" is the question.

What I meant in the OP is that the next GTA game - will be a 'IV' gen game and not a generational leap ahead. All prior GTA generations have been distinctly on one console gen.

GTA-GTA2 (essentially the same gen Top down etc ) PS1

GTA3 - GTA VC - GTA SA - PS2

GTAIV (TBOGT TLAD not full games) GTA next - PS3

GTA5 - PS4 2015 +........

I just beleive that R* can in effect drip feed us as another poster mentioned whilst achieving ridiculous sales figures. R* have found their feet with GTA, unparalleled sales hit and hundreds of millions in revenue. I can see them being more cautious than in the past, an SA equivelant for the GTA4 gen would be the absolute pinnacle if they were brave enough to try, 3 GTA4 size cities with countryside ?....theyd clean up !

Offtopic: I'm just going to add my 2 cents here. I love how everyone calling everyone else idiots is saying, "your an idiot" or the like. Just goes to show what arguing on internet is all about. (For those that don't get it, "You're an idiot" or "You are an idiot" is the correct usage here.)

Ontopic:

@GKP: You can't really use console of release as a measure of era. You use have the story. Reasoning being that within a era, there are games on multiple consoles using multiple engines. Even with GTA2, it was released on Dreamcast, where GTA1 wasn't. A better measure of GTA eras is actually the Nintendo releases. Every era of Nintendo handheld hardware gets an era of GTA so far:

GB/C hybrid: GTA

GBC only: GTA2

GBA: GTA3 (GTA Advance)

NDS: GTA4 (Chinatown Wars)

3DS: GTA5 (Whatever it's called)

idiots calling idiots, idiots, then idiots criticizing idiots by pointing out misuse of phrasing only to go on to write god awful almost incomprehensible personal paragraphs..

And GTA V on a Nintendo? You do realize Nintendo is using another ARM chip don't you with an integrated weak GPU? You shouldn't make assumptions on subjects you obviously don't know about.

This thread subject isn't even remotely productive or appealing though, so have fun with the randomness..

la noire could be online free roam were each player (police officer) gets given crimes to attend 2 randomly in the map like true crime.

LA Noire is REALLY easy to think up online modes 4, i cld go on and on thinkin up sh*t

u think GTA online is just fine? then ur standards are incredibly low, i could list everything wrong with GTA online and all that needs improving but it would take 2 long

in my sig theres a link, its my own GTA wishlist, it has a large portion of it dedicated to improvments online, if u want i cld PM u that section of it or post it on the wishlist...

and icon13.gif is what i think about ppl who dwell on internet spelling mistakes.

To each their own, I say. In my narrow opinion, I only play online games that are designed with the online game in mind first. Otherwise it just ends up seeming tacked on and usually loses my interest in short order. That said, I think that with some better unlocks, a better reward system and rank ups that GTA IV's online would have been top notch. The online gameplay was excellent. As was Chinatown Wars'.

GTA V or whatever the next GTA is called may or may not get old quickly. But I have a sneaky suspicion that R* North will release a game that exceeds expectations. I think that they know full well that not everybody loved GTA IV. I know that most of you did, but a lot of people thought that it had too many annoying aspects. I think we'll get a game that will veer away from the realism of GTA IV.

As for putting a GTA on a Nintendo system, I wouldn't rule that out at all. All I've read is rumour and speculation about what will be under the hood of Nintendo's new console. Fact is we won't know until June 6. And if that console goes with similar power to the PS3 and 360 then you can bet your life that the next GTA will end up on that console. If it can be ported (and no doubt it can) then T2 will take the opportunity to get the game sold on as many systems as are available. 360, PS3, PC and Nintendo. I have no doubt that Nintendo will be returning to hardcore gaming with their new system.

grand theft auto 4 is a failure online. theres nothing to do apart from the same thing over and over and over again (kill people), leveling up is boring and completely pointless, weapons spawn in the exact same place every time, spawn locations and times are a failure. the lag issues and glitches are a failure. most games take place in the airport which gets mad boring. you should beable to go out into the city and rob places and jack pedestrians to gain XP.

As I have pointed out in the other 3 threads you have said this in, you are simply WRONG about that ARM crap. You really need to get your facts straight. Go look at the reply in the other thread so I don't have to repost it here. Maybe then you will stop making "assumptions on subjects you obviously don't know about."

Why? You can't expect another game of SA"s caliber as the first release on a new generation of consoles, with a totally new engine. Obviously, R* will do just like they always do and improve and add stuff as they learn to master the engine.
