nightwalker83
Hi, Sometimes when I playing GTA IV I am playing the game as normal then all of a sudden Niko goes in the opposite direction to where I want him to. His moves with me touching the keyboard. Also, when it happens the controls don't respond. Thanks, Nightwalker
Girish
San Andreas had a similar issue when an unused controller was left plugged in. If you have any unused controllers plugged in, try getting rid of them.

ikt
Do you have any other programs on that might emulate any controls? Steering wheels? Controllers? Drawing pads? Heck, motion sensor webcams?

Some people like to play with controllers on the PC. In SA, people used to forget to unplug the controllers from their PC and that used to cause similar problems, hence, my suggestion. NCONiall
Yeah I had this problem as well, turns out I had left my joypad left plugged in, after I had taken it out I had no problems. If you don't then try ikt's suggestion.

Ah ok, silly me I wasn't thinking. @ ikt, No I don't. I'm just using the keyboard and mouse (the problem occurs even when the mouse is still). mkey82
Would it be possible for you to try using some other mouse/keyboard?
nightwalker83
Would it be possible for you to try using some other mouse/keyboard? Well, the problem does not happen all the time. I have only had it happen once and that was when I started this thread, I haven't had the problem since.
mkey82
Well, I don't want to be a bitch but if it only happened once, who how the hell do you expect us to resolve the "issue"? Edited May 16, 2011 by mkey82
Girish
Yeah, mkey82 is right. This topic was a little pre-mature. At least, make sure that this is a persistent problem before creating a topic about it rather than making us waste our time trying to figure out an one-off incident that will probably never happen again. Anyways, I suggest you forget about this until the problem repeats itself again.
