Star Junction News & Stock Ticker

Hi folks,

first of all, I apologize for my broken english. =] Hopefully u can help me with my little question.

 

I'm would like to change the text of the news and stock ticker around the star junction area. OpenIV and a GXT editor are installed on my PC. I've searched the english.gxt and the german.gxt for a text from a screenshot of the ticker. But it was not found. Is there a additional gxt-file which i can extract with OpenIV? Or is the ticker text hard-coded and not changeable? I hope not, but I think so, because these text is in english too, in the german version. So there don't scrolls a german translation, but the english original text. Maybe u have further information for me.

 

Additional: I just remember a 2nd question. Do u know where the advert graphics are located, so that I can change them with OpenIV? I'm talking not about the radio and tv ads, but about the adverts on the wall in the train stations, or on buildings, etc.

Without having GTA4 installed atm, I could only recommend you to search for a scrollbars.dat in your IV folder - that contains all texts. Additional texts are done via the mission script, no GXT involved.
