EmoNinja909 Posted May 13, 2011 Share Posted May 13, 2011 there is this kid on my class who is REALLY skiiny,like hes like more Boney than NickRad(see his picture in member's photo)and we are learning about the holocaust and people call him Jew because they say he looks like the prisoners on the concentration camps(i don't know about his ribs but his arms and legs do look like it) but i still think its really messed up because they are offending the survivors who went through hell in the holocaust and the Boy hes the most bullied of our school and teachers do not do anything about it and if he fights back he gets suspended! You two should be friends! not really i got friends don't get me wrong or think i'm a nerd And he is not really my type of friend,his already got his own i got a bit of everything Soccer players,Skaters,Gamers.a 4 chan friend(yes there is someone from 4chan in my school),cholos and metal heads but there are more people who make fun of me. Even if you were in perfect health, they would make fun of some behavior of yours. Even if your behavior was perfect, they'd make fun of your name. Even if everybody loved your name, they'd make fun of your family or what you wear or something. Pretty much. What most of those people want is a reaction. I followed my optometrist's advice to correct it at age 17 so now I can see with 20/30 vision in my left eye but only if I close my right eye. Even with this correction I still can't: Catch/Throw (Depth perception) Park correctly See 3D movies (just looks blurry) I do: Walk into things Miss things in the left side of my view if my right eye is open Ignore people who bully/bullied myself or others Lead a happy and successful life because I surround myself with people who like me People will make fun of you for anything and everything: Fatness/Skinniness Hair/Lack of hair Legit medical problems Being a nerd/struggling in classes My advice? when they hurl an insult, deflect it with something else... "At least I don't have to see your girlfriend". Under no circumstances should you actually get upset because then they'll know exactly how to get you jacked next time. K^2 Posted May 14, 2011 Share Posted May 14, 2011 If you really just have a cataract, yeah, get it fixed. Cataract is fairly easy to fix. It's basically just a problem with a lens in your eye, and they can replace it with an artificial one. My father had cataracts in both eyes due to age, and post-surgery he has excellent vision, except for needing reading glasses since artificial lens does not accommodate. With vision restored to the blind eye, your lazy eye might take care of itself or with some exercises. Or it might require another surgery, but again, it's almost always fixable. It might be a question of money, though. If you have to pay for the whole thing out of your pocket, it won't be cheap. That you'll have to find out on your own. In either case, see a doctor. He'll be able to tell you exactly what your options are. Prior to filing a bug against any of my code, please consider this response to common concerns. Everybody has a flaw one way or another, and if people reject you simply because you have a lazy eye, f*ck them. You're being taunted and pushed around by "oh-so-superior" people, who aren't really that superior, mind you. They stab at you because they either lead dull and boring lives, or have some flaws of their own, and suffer from insecurity. It's better to have a lazy eye than a lazy mind. That means you'd be just as stupid as those guys who made fun of you if you make a big deal out of it. Fill your life with productive activities rather than spending nights with endless tears.
