trip
a question for you guysDo you guys see your nose and how does it feel to have 2 eyes Yes I can see a bit of my nose if I try. But I have to try and it is not like I really see it. It's kind of just a blur that I know is my nose.  I enjoy having two eyes. It feels pretty good.  I know it won't help, and I doubt it will make you feel any better, but I was born with a visual perception problem too. I went through many years of visual therapy. My condition isn't really correctable, so my therapy was just to train myself on how to understand it and work around it.   My crappy games at MyCrappyGames.com Free copy of Save The Puppies and Kittens
cold fusion 33
I saw a TV program once where someone was born with one eye, and then they gave him a new eye with surgery, I think. Â True story .

EmoNinja909
Don't pay any attention to those a**holes. No point in worrying about what anyone thinks of you. Try to be happy with what you have, feeling good about yourself can be pretty hard. But it's important that you do. Do you feel insecure? Have you talk to your parents about this? Vercetti27
sorry mate, I really hope you sort your vision out, it must be difficult having something like that all through your life. I really hope you get help. Just ask an eye doctor what they can do for you.

*MURDOC*
I'm going to be completely honest here, though I do feel bad that you have to deal with this, but I'm just going to say this. Â Â Â It could be worse bro. Â Much, much worse. Â Â Â If you think about it, at least you may be able to correct your disability, and at least you have sight. Â There are many people out there worse off than you that can do nothing at all to correct their problems, and you know what they do? Â Â Â They deal with it. Â Â Â Â Â Â Be strong brotha. Oddsock
What MURDOC said. Dude, I can't imagine having only one eye, but get a grip. You're the only one putting any importance on it. Everything you talk about like binoculars and using things left-handed is no big deal. You'll learn to adapt. You can walk, you have all ten fingers, you have a voice and you can hear. You can smell and taste too. Â Stop focusing on it so much and just learn to work with it.

Dude, you have to understand that the majority of us get made fun of for one reason or another, and nobody enjoys getting made fun of. Â Â That's life, there's always going to be people that mess with you, and put you down, even for things you have no control over. Â Â
EmoNinja909
It's good to surround yourself with kind and caring people. Just get as far away as possible from that bunch. Are they in the same class as you? If you don't take immediate action and do something about it, you might regret it. If you're getting bullied or whatever, try and talk with your school principal. That helped me, I got picked on for obvious reasons. Only you can help yourself, don't expect anyone else to do it for you. Wish you all the best. WHAT!?
you can try the board over your good eye trick and try to increase the muscle strength of your weaker one. I know it works when you're a child, just dunno bout after you grow up. I was born with a lazy eye as well. My parents got the surgery that more then less corrected it. You can only tell my eye is crooked at extreme angles. Even then you have to look for it. I'm thankful they had it done. As time goes on however (its been 24 years now since surgery) the eye gets weaker and weaker. The doctors used to have me mask my good eye to increase the strength of my weaker one, but I no longer notice any improvement and I was never able to gain peripheral vision in that eye. I think within another decade or so it may become noticeable. Reason why I go into all of this is because I don't think it is ever really "cured". The current knowledge is that its mostly irreversible after age eight. Â A quick google search brought up this article from 2008. A bit dated for sure but it discusses possible treatment for people over the age of 20. Anyway I feel for ya man. Its easy to joke about but it sucks to live with. I've worked with several people who have the condition. There are always going to be jokes. As much as it sucks you just have to get a sense of humor about it. Don't let people know that it bothers you and wont have quite so difficult a time with it socially. Â If I were blind in the one eye as is your case with no surgery to correct the issue I may consider trying to mask it with some sort of special contact lens. I don't know if such a thing exists but it would be worth looking into. Â Good luck to ya. Â Â Â

One-time
just imagine-I have a BB gun,i have to have to hold my fun with my left hand because that is the only way i can look through the aim/scope -Binoculars,this made me cry as a kid -3D movies, guess i wont be able to see em'. -Guitar Playiong,i am learning guitar and i have to look at the fretboard with one eye but it doesn't really matter since i am going to learn playing without look at it,and there is even a blind painist -Tilted head, most of the times my head is slighty tilted to the right because i don't know if i am looking straight You're not alone. Â My right eye too is a lazy eye, but it doesn't have a cataract. I too got pissed off when I first watched a 3D movie. People make fun of me everytime, but I'm always able to deal with it. Â My filmmaking hobby is also limited by this stupid eye, since most (if not all) video cameras are made to be held right-handed.
RobsEpicFret
sorry to hear that  i guess i'm a bit lucky compared to you since i am not a movie person and you do film making the binoculars only made me cry when i was a kid. because the right scope had a aim like a sniper rifle and didn't fiqure until cousin tried them on. Oddsock
Â Calm down, getting upset is pointless. Learn to ignore, they'll get bored and leave you alone. Replying only adds fuel to the fire. For real. Chill out bro, the only person working you up about this is yourself. Like what MURDOC said, people make fun of others for anything. Even if you were in perfect health, they would make fun of some behavior of yours. Even if your behavior was perfect, they'd make fun of your name. Even if everybody loved your name, they'd make fun of your family or what you wear or something. Â You're fighting and uphill battle that you're going to lose. Â EDIT: Also, big ups to my fellow left-handers. Keep it cool, fellas.
RobsEpicFret
*sprays hose on fire* ok i'm cool now  just wanted to add this to the topic there is this kid on my class who is REALLY skiiny, like hes like more Boney than NickRad(see his picture in member's photo) and we are learning about the holocaust and people call him Jew because they say he looks like the prisoners on the concentration camps(i don't know about his ribs but his arms and legs do look like it) but i still think its really messed up because they are offending the survivors who went through hell in the holocaust and the Boy hes the most bullied of our school and teachers do not do anything about it and if he fights back he gets suspended! i am quite boney myself, i am a picky eater but i have never seen any bonier person my school principal is a bitch she punishes victims of bullying, and yet they encourage us to stop it. i don't do it,they don't mess with me i don't mess with them then its  and i don't if you guys understand the leave hanging part so let me give you an example that happened today i was walking to my US history class and i was on the left side of the hall my friend approaches me and tries to give me a high five i just pass him and leave him hanging on accident.  that is what i meant incase you did not know
Oddsock
Well, see there, the problem is with the other folks, not the skinny kid, and not you.
