M4RK
Ok so Crysis 2 has finally come out. Do you think it is better than Farcry 2 or visa versa? I still think Farcry 2 is a better game. I guess i enjoyed the freedom and special effects better. but thats just me. thoughts...
Narcis_speed6
I go with Crysis 2, just because it has more action and isn't so repetitive.
EmoNinja909
Far Cry 2 was a drag to play, the only cool thing about it was the map creator. The single player got really repetitive early on, driving back and forth. The gun jamming was annoying as was malaria, multiplayer was really laggy and you had to waste a full clip to kill someone. Crysis 2 is a much better game.
OverTheBelow
The agressive input acceleration ruined Far Cry 2 for me, where in Crysis 2 you can at least turn it off. This, along with the meticulously dull driving and not being able to sprint for more than 10 seconds in such a vast world made the game pretty crap. Creed Bratton
Why are we comparing these 2 games? Far Cry 2 barely has anything in common with first Far Cry and even less with Crysis 2. Far Cry 2 is not even a Crytek game.

Far Cry 2 is not even a Crytek game. I'm with you. Maybe it's because they both have "cry" in the title, in which case that's retarded.
AceRay
farcry2 was a great game if you excuse the fact that it was terrible. I'd rather have loading screens rather than have to drive all that way.
Raptomex
Depends what you like. I enjoyed both games. But I like Crysis 2 a little bit more. I like sci-fi sh*t. But that's just me. I have FarCry2 but haven't beaten it yet. I like how it's open world but I wish you could drive in third person.
Robinski
farcry2 was a great game if you excuse the fact that it was terrible. I'd rather have loading screens rather than have to drive all that way. As crass as that sounds it's exactly how I feel about it. There was a diamond of a game hidden somewhere beneath those numerous layers of bullsh*t. AceRay
whoever decided Malaria was a good idea deserves to be dealt a swift kick in the rear; "Hur Dur, lets give the player a disease so instead of having fun exploring, they has to constantly do stupid missions every couple of hours to get some crummy pills which you can't keep track of that easily. People are going to love that!" Enemy health was out of this world. I doubt a shirtless guy could survive 7 shots to the chest with an assault rifle. I've seen people survive headshots. Also, stealth was disappointing because if I knife someone behind a bush out of sight, some dude 200 meters away will start shooting me. as for the buddy system, Tom Francis describes it brilliantly. and Clint Hocking shows up too! Kratos2000
I hated Crysis 2, it lost many things the first game had. Aswell the second Sandbox editor. Are they both built on the same engine?
Miro
Crysis 2 is simply awesome. Far Cry 2 has less shooting. I think both are a total win at graphics, but Crysis 2 simply has the brilliant game-play. Dead (Retired)

Far Cry 2's engine, Dunia Engine, is a heavily modified (consolified) version of Cryengine 2. Crysis 2 is Cryengine 3.

But I still see your point.

And it has nothing to do with the first Far Cry. It's completely different.
OysterBarron
no the only thing it has in common with crytek, is the engine to a certain exstent, but if it wasnt for crytek then they might have never been a far cry 2. The big question i want to know is do you think Far cry 3 is going to go on rails like what they did with crysis 2 or keep it free roam!
