Diabolus
Well, I dunno if it's in the right section or not, but... was wondering. Did anyone ever try to make a movie out of a DYOM mission? Not like film it and upload it on You Tube, like, a mission, with no gameplay, just cutscenes and stuff. If anyone really tried that, I wanna pla... cough, view the movie. I have something in mind and I really look forward to making a DYOM movie.

Jimmy_Leppard
As you all already noticed, I have a tendency to make my missions a little bit more cinematic and not just as a gameplay missions. Yes, I thought about it. It's doable, but it's a hell of a lot of work with scenario and it would be a little bit hard to make the fighting/shooting/running scenes efective. I mean, gameplay is gameplay, but making a movie out of a gameplay features - Lots of work.
xMatix
Yes, I tried something like that, but that was be soo boring. It's boring because: - You can't make cutscene moving (And this is the most important for movies) - You can't add music (No, not this from the radio) We downloading missions because we want to play, have fun. Reading subtitles and from time to time some shoots is not funny. So I stopped making missions where 80% is a movie, and start to make something where is more action, shoots, explodes and fun (World in War, Going Into War). Dyom is not mod for making movies, theres a lot of programs where we can make movie (S.A.S.). But I trying to make cutscenes more dramatic, awesome and interesing. jetjatin
Yes, its looks like good idea. If you're making from a T.V Series or something you can add music if you have real file of the Series or whatever. Cutscenes can be great with moving camera anyway. The mission i ever made that contains much cutscenes is this one, it has little gameplay (Driving) but much fun in watching cutscenes .
Kratos2000
All of my missionpacks had a minor amount/no gameplay. Though I'll not link any of it - they were made before the latest version. Anyways I'm planning on making another one soon.
