PrussianPrince
I recently bought a Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 mini, pretty nice phone. Well, I want to install few new softwares on it, but I really don't know how and don't know where. Can someone help me with it? User guides doesn't talk anything about it. CharmingCharlie
On your phone you should find an Icon called the "Market" that is the application you use to access the android marketplace. On there you will find thousands of programs (free and paid). You just select the program you want to use and install it. The market place icon looks like this :- See the icon with the big red box around it, that is the android marketplace icon.
shahmen
I'm not soo good at android but i think you need a account like in apple app store to download apps and games from the market place.
CharmingCharlie
Yeah they will have to set up a google account as well (if they don't already have one) but there are detailed instructions on that when you start the market place app up. All the TC needs to do is follow the instructions presented to him when he fires up the market place.
Guest
When you're on the home screen, slide your finger up anywhere on the home screen and it will bring up the unique Xperia menu. Then find 'Market' and scroll left or right if you have to, to find it. Once you've found it, that's where you download applications, and they become saved in the menu. PrussianPrince
I do not have an Internet connection on my phone atm. I am trying to connect my phone through Wireless from my home laptop, but I don't know how. But what are your impressions about the phone? Some people told me it's too small and it's for girls. Pico
It's a good phone, although a smaller one. I've heard pretty much nothing but good things about the Sony Ericsson Android phones. Sounds like you've got a lot to learn, just play around. If you are having such a hard time, head over to your local carrier's store and see if a store representative can show you a few things. Android is huge, most reps should know how to do at least the basic functionalities of the phone.
PrussianPrince
So do you think it's for girls? Some of my classmates told me that, although I do not believe it is. And how to connect my phone to Internet through Wi-Fi, using my Home Network?
Law0070
So do you think it's for girls? Some of my classmates told me that, although I do not believe it is.And how to connect my phone to Internet through Wi-Fi, using my Home Network? if you have WiFi at home, yes use that I have an android (which is in repair at the moment) and I can access wifi by going to settings-wireless settings - wifi put it on, select your home network and eventually enter the security code next go to the marketplace...for more info about android i can only refer to two sites http://phandroid.com/ and http://www.gtaforums.com/index.php?showtopic=426641 good luck, if you get used to it and get the good apps suited for you, you'll enjoy it and work with ease! I personally think the Xperia mini is too small to work with but that's my opinion (i got an Acer BeTouch...almost iPhone size)
Pico
It's hard to label a phone for a specific gender. I would not say that phone in particular is targeted at any specific sex. The only thing that can really direct a phone to male or females specifically would be a name or color. For instance a pink or purple phone named "Passion" could easily be labeled a girls phone, while a black and red phone labeled "Massacre" could be perceived as more manly. The Xperia X10 mini is a sleek phone with a unique name. While it's a smaller phone, doesn't mean it's girly in any way. If size is the reason your school mate might be saying that, he probably feels he needs a larger phone to compensate how small his dick is. I know that procedure, I just cannot use my Home Network as a Wireless network. so it isn't wireless? then you'll have to use 3G I think which will be quite a bit costier..or connect the phone to the pc... you can download apps from the market online too first go to the market site (https://market.android.com/)
