Rockstar20124
I just read that PSN will be offline till the end of May. That's pretty terrible So this week the game Brink is coming out. And it heavily relies on online gaming. So, at least for the PS3 it's sales will probably be pretty low. Also, next week will be the release of LA Noire But, on the PS3, you can't download your pre order DLC Which is lame as hell Anyway, could FUTURE PSN or maybe even XBL network problems hurt sales of GTA V? Myself, I probably don't think so. But I would definitely be dissapointed not having the ability to go play with my friends in the much improved online free roam and other multiplayer modes. And I really hope GTA V won't have retarded multiple scattered pre order DLC like LA Noire. What's the point if you can't play it anyway? Just put all the content on the disc already ! Also the retards at Capcom have done something unbelievable stupid http://www.nextgn.com/2011/02/03/bionic-co...layer-campaign/ http://www.co-optimus.com/article/5401/bio...nly-affair.html You can't play the single player campaign without online connection?! I know Rockstar won't put this retarded "always online DRM" in GTA V, right? (Edit: added the word FUTURE to make it clear PSN offline problems could still happen in the....future / next year when GTA V comes out) Edited May 10, 2011 by Rockstar20124
HipHopHeadSeb
the online issues will be fixed far before GTA V gets released and i play GTA offiline all the time, no u dont need internet connection to play single player. although i have heard people say this, all my games have been playing fine offline. Spider-Vice
Yes, of course you can play offline, the maximum it would do is complain you don't have an active internet connection. Plus obviously when GTA V comes out, the issues are fixed. Dymez.
What the.........? No, it won't. By the time the next GTA comes out, not only will the PSN be online but the security for it is gonna be super advanced. People would have forgotten about the hacking by then. OchyGTA
This topic is stupid, unless GTA is released in the next month then we have nothing to worry about.
Snake Without a Tongue
Offline for a long period sucks, but it doesn't make me want to stop buying and playing games. Sony needs to focus less on jailbreaking hackers and more on the security of their customers.
MXrider13
It probably won't, since it will be fixed before GTA V comes out.
EmoNinja909
GTA's biggest aspect is it's single player game. Multiplayer in IV was just an added bonus.

Shineot
He didn't mean these particular online issues we're having right now, obviously they're going to be fixed by GTA V's release... If you read his post properly: Anyway, could FUTURE PSN or maybe even XBL network problems hurt sales of GTA V? You can't just go around saying a topic is a waste, without even reading the topic to begin with.
Snake Without a Tongue
Do you jackasses even read the original posts? Or the posts of other people? There's like ten replies that say this topic is a waste based on misreading the original topic. Makes me want to open a vein.
SLRMC93
Possibly, but seeing as how everyone worries about MP these days it shows that single player is dying FAST
Rockstar20124
Haha, yeah it's a pity some people don't read the first post at all They only read the title. And only think about the present time. Which perhaps is logical at a basic level. Also, you don't have that much space for words in the title. Otherwise I would have put FUTURE in the title Anyhow, glad there are still smart people who do take the time to read the first post And with LA Noire coming out next week published by Rockstar I am annoyed PSN is still offline Especially since there are pre order DLC packs for the game. Which obviously can't be downloaded from PSN when it is still offline Man, if LA Noire would have been a PS3 exclusive GTA 1947 like RDR is basically Grand Theft Horse, with also great multiplayer, I really would have been pissed off
Dymez.
Possibly, but seeing as how everyone worries about MP these days it shows that single player is dying FAST I think the majority of GTA players don't care about multiplayer, really. Especially the ones who started playing GTA since at least GTA III. The purpose of GTA (and any other single-player game) having multiplayer is to make the game that much more replayable. People whose first GTA game was IV are usually the ones who think they need to add more to it, I've noticed.
