Freezing Possibility

Hi guys.

I've recently downloaded GTA:SA onto my Xbox 360 from games on demand. My friend did this a while ago, but his game has very bad freezing issues. Mine has only frozen once so far. He used cheats a lot, and I'm wondering if this has anything to do with it, so I'm wary of using them.

So, I have a few questions.

Do cheats cause this?

And if I saved the cheats version in a different slot, and had 2 slots, 1 with cheats 1 without, if I happened to get freezing issues, would 'deleting' the save with cheats (overwriting it with the cheat-less save) fix them?

Kind of a bummer though because I was wanting to use the money cheat because being poor is annoying

Ah well!

 

Edit: Don't mind me, just being a complete noob. Just killed a load of drug dealers then spent the remaining money on the gambling trick. I'm pretty rich now.

If it's money that can be taken care of 'legally'.

First, Do the Firefighting missions. You can keep the money even if you fail. If you succeed to the 12 th level your CJ will be fireproof, which comes in handy.

Second. Do the Taxi missions. Again you keep the money. The more you do in a row you will get bonus'.

Third, Find the Drug Dealers. Killing them gets you 2,000 each. They stand with their arms crossed or clasped. One has a grey hoody. the other wears a Black tank top. They will pace two or three steps then stand still. On occasion a NPC will talk to them. They will offer to sell drugs to CJ.

Fourth, if you see a group of four ballas, one of them will have a lot of money. run'um down.

Fifth, do the Burglary missions, besides money when you collect 10,000$ CJ will have Infinate Sprint.

Also, weapons and Body Armour are FREE. Just spend a little time looking for them. In buildings, on roofs, backyards, alleys, etc.

There are a few other ways to get ca$h...

1st ever savegame back in '04 I used cheats

But now at the moment I am at 80% without cheats and never had so much fun before. It feels so real without cheats and actually to be proud of

The theory that cheats fully mess your save up is bull in my opinion, even because most cheats don't change anything at all on the savefile, just the "Has cheated?" flag and warn you when you save with cheats, on or off. The only cheat that's bugged is the riot one which is permanent, even though you can disable it, the save will have a buggy flag on that makes the game completion impossible due to some characters acting like they're in a riot. The money, clothes, cars cheats shouldn't hurt your savegame, I believe R* only makes that warning when saving so players play the game as fairly as possible. Just my 2 cents though.
