Rhoda
It looked like they're planning on making all the current peripherals compatible with Wii U, which would be awesome. It's a smart move. After all, it doesn't seem like yesterday since the Wii came out. It hasn't been all that long, so to start from scratch would be a real pain in the chuff, especially when the Wii is as family based as it is. d0mm2k8
I'm sorry but Nintendo were by far the best. I most likely won't buy the Wii U, but damn they showed some Aliens: Colonial Marines and I love them for that.

Yeah, imagine that gun peripheral with the touch screen on top acting as the motion sensor. Game over, man.

Blackadder.
And now the circle is complete, Wii, the name of the bodily function, and the U in the logo looking like a penis.
darthYENIK
I think this will confuse everyone who talks to Japanese people about Wii, considering they usually pronounce it as "wee-uo". I guess they'll call it, "wee-uo-uo".
Star-Lord
Is it really a dumb console name compared to Playstation 2 or 3, or Xbox or Xbox 360? You do realise that it's not a console right? It's basically a new controller for the Wii. First off I didn't call it a console. Secondly, did you see the graphics demo? If it looks like that it has to be a new console. Yeah i've seen the Graphics now, I mean stuff like Darksiders 2 coming to It and possibly Battlefield 3 then damn it's gonna have some impressive power behind it. Still i'm sticking to my PS3, 360 and PC gaming. Nintendo is asking the hard core gamers to come back, and hard core gamers are definitely listening. This might be the beginning of something special. If it's that powerful? Then I'd imagine RockstarGames taking advantage of that new market. Think about it, they can get RDR, L.A Noire and maybe GTA V on that system and make a ton of money. Star-Lord
Gameplay with Saints row the third with hud and everything here Sweet! I'm definitely getting SR3. I must admit the Wii U does looks damn sexy! Wii U Click The controller does look a little on the bulky side but besides that it looks great. I'm interested in the actual specs, anyone know anything about that? AndyGanteks
That is just amazing. Postal 3 of course. SR3 also looks a bit fun, but to me it looks like the buildings load slowly and terribly.

Otter
Is it just me or is the WiiU a massive letdown? An oversized ipad with a smaller screen and even less ergonomic controls? No thanks. I've already got one. And Apple is, unbelievably, less tied down in red tape than Nintendo. And speaking of which, they haven't raised the bar graphically, either. I understand that was their whole platform last time as well, but motion control was a revolution that made up for it. This thing... ugh. Maybe I was hoping too much for those rumored haptic controls. But what I was really hoping for was for Nintendo to come out swinging. Reggie almost looked embarrassed to me. I don't know. Some of you actually seem interested, so good on them. I just don't think the future's looking so bright for Nintendo. Especially not after seeing what Kinect is going to be capable of. Inky
What the f*ck Nintendo? I was expecting a new console Then what's this then? The thing is Nintendo's not said anything about the hardware for the new system yet, so it could be on par with current gen systems. But even then that's not anything to be impressed with considering MS and Sony are probably already working on the next gen systems.

Creed Bratton
I remember in Postal 2 there was a guy with a sign that said "make a game with a plot". I love the sens of humor in Postal. I'll be getting Postal 3 definitely. As for SR3, car handling doesn't seem to bad. Especially when you take into consideration that the game isn't finished. Especially not after seeing what Kinect is going to be capable of. I dunno... I think it's tough to say; Nintendo recently released the 3DS and was partially a success, not a major but it got just about by. I think Nintendo are doing fine, but Sony and MS are definitely going to overcome them if Nintendo doesn't come up with something innovative within the year. That's what I'm saying - this was their money shot and they f*ckin' creampied it. I haven't even thought about the 3DS since I saw the tech demo. Is that the case? They've just sort of broken even with it? I remember hearing Reggie speak about Angry Birds as a sort of dark omen for a new business model. His stance was that the low pricing of iOS games "devalues" the industry. And on one hand, he's correct. On the other... Apple just announced their new OS the other day. 24 bucks. Nintendo's trying to cling to the old market while peddling second-rate hardware. And while this new controller may seem innovative now, I can assure you that everyone who already owns a tablet or similar "touchtronic device" has seen this dog and pony show already. I can already flick what I'm looking at on my ipad onto the TV. I don't need Nintendo to revamp my entertainment centre - it's already five steps behind in that regard. Nintendo should be focusing on gaming. Period. And they seem to have f*cked the pooch. But who knows? Maybe we'll see another rush on shopping centres this Christmas, but I'm not going to hold my breath. The PSVita and iPad are going to be on a lot of wishlists this year.
