lazydamsel
Hi, i've just bought and installed gta 4 and it's got a few problems.... I've got a ''DELL STUDIO XPS 1647'' laptop, it has an 'INTEL CORE i5' processor and the OS is 'WINDOWS 7 HOME PREMIUM'.... I have a 4GB RAM and ''ATI MOBILITY RADEON HD 5730'' graphics card......... 1. My problem is that when i try to start a mission for the first time, the cutscene's video does not appear, only the sound is heard, when the cutscene finishes the video reappears and then i can play the mission........ but if I fail on a mission and I start it again, then this time the cutscene runs just fine..........WHAT TO DO???? 2. Also, the game crashes sometimes when i hit the ESC button during game to see the map...... PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!
Girish
Have you patched the game? Have you installed the GFWL update? What settings are you running the game at? Are your video drivers up-to-date? Have you tried running the game in XP/Vista compatibility mode to see if it makes any difference?

Girish
That resolution is a little high for your video card. I recommend lowering it. I also recommend installing the 4th patch as it is said to be the best patch, performance wise. Download link GFWL update can be downloaded and installed from here. Are your video drivers up-to-date?Have you tried running the game in XP/Vista compatibility mode to see if it makes any difference? Give these^ a shot too.
