Spider-Vice
Recently I've stumbled upon a problem: I upgraded my Vista to 7 (I had 7, then put Vista for eyecandy but then it started going crazy and I did an in-place upgrade to 7), and the saves are located in the right folder in my Documents and Public Documents (Windows 98 compatibility) for some mouse bugs. Thing is, the game wouldn't read my saves or my settings, I tried changing everything back and it does save but I can't see where because the files on both SA User Files in Public and Documents are untouched. I really can't know where it saves now. My game's original. Suggestions? lil weasel
Of course when you changed the OS you Did delete the GTA_SA.set file, which would have the old and now useless data settigns?
Spider-Vice
Yeah, this is worse than I thought. I had set the settings, and then deleted gta_sa.set, suddenly the game is still on 1280x1024 I heard of a bug where the game would save the settings on the data folder... I'll check. Edit: OMG, that's it. Everything's in the data folder... Thanks anyway! Girish
I thought the savefiles being located in the data folder was a Vista related issue. Too bad to know it's on Win 7, too. Although, I think this might have something to do with upgrading your OS, because I don't think a clean install of the OS would cause this. I have Win 7 on my laptop and my saves are properly located in the Documents folder.
Spider-Vice
Yeah it might have to do with Vista registry references, no biggie though.
