lil weasel
That is the Terrain that is missing not the Map. Remove all mods. Please EDIT your post: When POSTING PICTURES try to select 640x480 or smaller for message boards and forums. so as to not stretch the forum and waste bandwidth. Or use a link. PRE-TROUBLE-SHOOTING QUESTIONS: PROBLEM SOLVING: If the game worked before and you have changed OS or Screen settings, If your system upgraded anything (drivers, etc) Delete the GTA_SA.set File. (The GTA_SA.set file is recreated at the end of each game play session. It contains OS data that may no longer be relevant.) Are you playing the game in Vista/Win7 using W98 (or XP) compatibility mode, with Administrative Privileges? And... before people here begin investing a lot of time trying to fix a possible NO-FIX situation: What Version (Edition) of the game do you have? (1, 2, 3?) How are you playing: 1. With the Original DVD in the Drive? 2. OR a Downloaded game from Direct2Drive, or SteamPower.com 3. OR are you Using a No-CD crack? (No fix to be found on this Forum.) 4. OR are you Using a 'backup' disc? (Fix is to use the Original DVD.) 5. If none of the above, then what is the origin of your game? (Please be specific, as there may not be a fix to found on this Forum.) … Note that this [part of the] forum is only for unmodded copies of the game. For anything related to add-ons, tools or mods, please visit the modding forums! The emphasis above is mine. Girish
To cut to the chase, one or more of the mods you have installed are causing this issue. Reinstall the game and delete the gta_sa.set file from the User Files folder. Everything should be back to normal then.

Spider-Vice
The mods sometimes cause that. If you have a load of car mods, SA will have a "polygon overload" and the map sometimes will load extremely slowly or not at all.
