Rob.Zombie
Alright so let's hope this topic won't be closed, since I'm not uploading anyone's mod or modifying it in any way, I'm just linking you guys to "private" map mods, usually made by japanese people. What you need is a bit of patience and the use google translator. Just translate these links to english from japanese and all you have to do is just browse through the threads to get the map mods you wanted. Now I'm posting this, since a lot of people has been looking for maps, that has never been released on well known sites, only on private blogs (who knows you might find Mt.Akina / Mt.Iroha or other maps from GTA SA, in IV). Also post links if you find something. Links: ==== A few japanese maps (Hazyview, Ebisu Touge, Tsukuba, ebisu, hakone, CEA speedway): http://cid-68769622180f6c86.office.live.co....0&sa=588454362 Dakota Racetrack: http://gtamania.ru/load/mods_for_gta_4/lan...iv/204-1-0-3718 SAkina, Autopolis and Iroha: http://www.speedyshare.com/files/29783126/mapmods.rar Nürburgring: Nordschleife: http://www.gtagaming.com/downloads/gta-iv/misc-mods/10411 Texture mods: ========== Snow Akina: http://speedy.sh/sAX2Y/SnowAkina.zip A few people were interested in my RWD Drift handling line so here it is: 1350.0 0.33 85 0.0 -0.1 -0.3 0.0 4 1.1 5.0 400.0 1.2 0.55 1.2 45 0.8 1.35 23 0.15 0.485 3.0 2.1 2.1 0.1 -0.1 0.0 0.46 2.0 1.0 2.3 2.5 0.0 14000 440010 0
LCPD-ITO
This MOD is distributed to team "SKD" restrictively. The downloading is possible, but a password is necessary for development of rar.
Rob.Zombie
Yeah I've just found it out, I tried using zip unlocker, but so far no luck. I guess they used japanese characters in the password. Any idea if the password is on the site somewhere? EDIT: Under the download link there's " PWはいつもと同じやつです " Where the japanese symbols means: "Is always the same guy" So I'm guessing they are using always 1 password for each zips. All we have to do is find it out. I bet it's in connection with their name. Maybe something like "team SKD"... quechus13
So now... is it ok to try and open RARs made by other people with password WITHOUT their permission? NO Am afraid this is gonna be closed because it is called stealing somehow.
Rob.Zombie
Why? There's no rule against opening passworded rar files. Also I'm a man who likes things fair. That guy uses Laguna Seca (which is also inside the archive) and other mods made by other people, who were able to host it. Why can't he do that? Just because he's in a clan? Meh come on, don't let mean people "rule the universe". As soon as I get the password I'll give it to you overhere and there you go, you can use those maps yourself. Oh and if this topic gets closed that will be another step AGAINST modding. Sorry that's my opinion.

You have them on your disk, just cause by normal terms they are unusable doesn't mean unlocking them will be non-legal. If those guys have such a problem if we manage to open them, it's their problem. They shouldn't distribute the files available to everyone. Rob.Zombie
According to the site it has: - Laguna Seca - Ebisu Circuit - Iroha Slope - Unknown Track Although I'm hoping to find Akina. Ebisu looks pretty nice (but it's not the real Ebisu track), Iroha Slope is a bit unfinished, from what I could see in a video, but it could be good in game. No idea what the unknown track is. EDIT: Found a few new maps, haven't tested them, not even if they are password protected. We'll see DL link in the first post. EDIT2: Alright second link is perfect. No password. So far there's: - Ebisu - Touge - Hakone - Track (that's the name) - CEA Speedway Enjoy. I'll test them tomorrow Edited May 7, 2011 by Rob.Zombie

Timeless_AUT
Nice job but I have one question, where should be Ebisu ingame? I downloaded and installed it but I can't find it ingame.
nkjellman
Thanks man. This is usefull, but we need to get the files extracted. If anyone finds out the passwords psot them here. But whats in these map mods? Edited May 8, 2011 by nkjellman
Rob.Zombie
TBH I think the 2nd link has every single map mod which is in the passworded rar files in the 1st link (except for Laguna Seca). I think Ebisu is somewhere near broker but I could be mistaken. Just check out the youtube videos where the guy is drifting and you'll see. You'll also see all the SKD members (who use the same map), so you might find it out in 1 of their videos: http://www.youtube.com/user/furios1109

Rob.Zombie
Well I saw some1's request in IV maps, then I saw a few videos about those map mods, then I found out about SKC and all I had to do is go to their blogs (and later on the download links). Anyway has any1 ever tried out any of those maps? I couldn't test them myself, but maybe today. EDIT: Ok I managed to test out 2 of them so far. Touge is a very narrow 2 lane road set in a forest or something, where you can do touge racing. It's pretty fun for the first time, but it's very low detailed and is located near Hippieness Island. The 2nd is much better, which is a mountain actually called Hakone. You can do touge racing or drifting, it has some nice roads, but it was optimized for SA engine, so it's not perfectly smooth. It's low detailed as well, but a lot more fun than touge. Here are a few pics: http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/7656119...07770748121319/? Exxon
@Rob.Zombie Are those maps downloadable and if yes, do they have a password??
Rob.Zombie
Yes check the second link. Every map is downloadable in the second link without a pass. EDIT: also I've tried Ebisu circuit and it's pretty good if you wanna drift, since it's pretty smooth. No pictures were made since there's a picture of it on 1 of the blogs. Ah if only we had this for IV: http://tatuitreta.blogspot.com/ (the fantasy hill race) Edited May 9, 2011 by Rob.Zombie
Exxon
Haha, I didn't see that in the second link, you can download 5 maps instead of 1 EDIT Damnit! One of the tracks causes the game to crash! Which is it? EDIT 2 I found it! The 'touge' track crashes my game Edited May 9, 2011 by Exxon
Exxon
Hey guys, would it be ok if I made videos of the tracks and post them on YouTube? Ofcourse I will be putting 'SKD Team' in the credits.
Rob.Zombie
Yeah sure it'd be, although I'm quite sure, most of the maps are not even from SKD. Anyway the touge track crashed for me when I entered happieness island, other than that, it worked, but it's rubbish if you ask me CEA Speedway isn't bad, but it's boring as hell, even more than Laguna Seca, so I guess I'll be sticking to Hakone If only we could get Akina, or a high quality japanese mountain in GTA. Already have an epic handling, found a nice car for it, so now I just need a nice downhill drift map

iriedreadlock23
Since you guys love racing tracks, you may also gonna love AI competitors next to live players. I've uploaded one video that presents use of tools that I made specially for creating racing AI in GTAIV. Enjoy Laguna Seca video, and feel free to comment it. It's almost ready for release, as I'd like to see more racing mods, if not even racing game in GTAIV engine. If anyone is interested in this, link me up. Sorry for going slightly offtopic. If you love racing like i do, you will forgive me.
Rob.Zombie
Got another race track called Dakota IV, no idea what kinda track is that, but I'm guessing it's not the real Dakota racetrack just another fake crap like Laguna Seca, no offense, but that's what it is. Anyway link will be in first post as usual.
Exxon
Got another race track called Dakota IV, no idea what kinda track is that, but I'm guessing it's not the real Dakota racetrack just another fake crap like Laguna Seca, no offense, but that's what it is. Anyway link will be in first post as usual. It's a pretty nice track actually. It's very smooth, not bumpy like Laguna. About the same size, and it has a big ovale ring and a race track in it, which are pretty nice and fun to ride (although not for long I gues) But, the grass is very weird. I gues they wanted to make it look high quality, but from a distance (50 feet or more) it's getting very weird. They should use other grass. Besides that, it's a pretty nice track. Exxon
Some pictures: It's pretty smooth unlike Laguna Seca The complete track The weird grass If you ask me, it's a pretty track
Rob.Zombie
Yeah I've just tested it out, and I might just be able to confirm it is converted from NFS Shift. Dakota GP is the in game name. Those textures need a bit work, but the track itself is very smooth. Perfect for drifting and doing NASCAR? lol Yeah so it's not like Laguna Seca, it's much better. I just wish people converted more maps from NFS series, but with all those HQ textures and every object.
Exxon
Yeah, I totally agree But about those textures (I gues you most likely mean the grass), I've put a new texture in it of the grass. It's the grass texture of Laguna Seca Is this better, you think?
