GTA 360 Posted May 6, 2011 Share Posted May 6, 2011 I just looked on the forum today and wondered why it has seemed different, then I found that the 'General GTA chat' forum had been changed to 'GTA Series Chat' and moved to the bottom of that section, why has that happened all of a sudden? AndyGanteks Posted May 6, 2011 Share Posted May 6, 2011 It got renamed to the GTA Series Chat on 2nd may after the 'Mufc-Champs' party, and a few hours ago it got moved to the bottom of the GTA Series forum, rather then on top above V? and IV forums. On-Topic: This new arranging of sub-forums seems okay, although I don't think it was worth to make a special forum for the I/II Era Modding, as people don't mod anymore GTA I & GTA II. Look at it this way - after a few years, the GTA III forums are going to be more inactive than they are now. Does that mean they should be removed too? Of course not. Many of the current and retired/former staff members came here specifically to mod GTA1 and GTA2. Removing that sub-forum would be like denying a part of our past. And also, just because there are no posts doesn't mean that there isn't anything interesting within those forums. Users still browse there to check out mods for the topdown games. It almost acts as an archive of mods for the topdown games. Although removing it might not affect many of ths site's users, I personally can't see what purpose it would have. The only problem I could see if mods got pissed at people for bumping really old threads, I mean if you're going to keep it around don't get all pissed when someone posts in old topics. Guess which we'd prefer and don't get annoyed at. Editing for 1/2 and is fine where it is, it is under the modding section which is where it should of been in the first place!
