Spider-Vice
Try going on C:/Users/<your user>/AppData/Local/VirtualStore/Rockstar Games and delete everything related to GTA IV. Sometimes Windows saves crash logs and the faulty segment of the files and sometimes the game reads from them anyway. SmellyJelly
Look in My Documents and I think there should be an additional Rockstar folder in there. Either delete it or just rename it (to save it as a backup). Don't reload old game saves.
Kriskers
@Spider-Vice Tried that, there are no signs of GTA IV in VirtualStore there, only GTA:SA... @SmellyJelly THANK YOU! I could finally start up the game... (game isn't completed now though ) And the bad news is, that some sort of mod then possibly corrupted my savegames So, remember people! Don't use TOO much mods, or this crap might happen. Anyways, thank you!
