gnomey Posted May 6, 2011 Share Posted May 6, 2011 Hi everyone i'm new to the forums and to GTA IV for the PC (I've been playing on the PS3 and just decided to play on PC) and I didn't buy the game through steam. So my issue is that whenever I try to add the GTAIV application, with the "IV" logo, to steam and launch I get this. "GTA IV FATAL ERROR: DFA did not initialize properly. Please make sure you are using LaunchGTAIV.ece to launch the game." problem is when i add "launchGTAIV.exe" to steam, it shows up as "grand theft auto IV safe mode". help? suggestions? thanks in advance.
