Weirdo.
Sad news, but 110 is not bad. Not bad? I'd say it's pretty damn fantastic considering he lived up to that age while having the chance to die twice in two wars. What a hero, he will be missed. Hobbes27
I brought this up in the OGA, and I'll say it again. He's a remarkable man, truly sad an era ended with his death. 110 years unbelievable, and I just hope his last years or so wasn't in much pain. I saw in an article he was married to his wife 80 years before she passed away. That in itself is admirable and unbelievable. A war in itself if you ask me, married to the same woman 80 years! Must've been something for his son though, I'm guessing he fathered him in his late 20's to mid 30's, which means his own son lived almost 80+ years with his father around. If only we all could be so lucky
Adler
Hope he made peace with his affairs before his death, and I wish that he's enjoying where he is now.
CryptReaperDorian
If he was able to overcome the horrors of war, then I think he probably had a pretty good life. He lived long (110 years for crying out loud), and he got out of two wars alive. Not only that, but he was married for 80 years and had three children (which I'm sure are pretty old now). That's truly amazing! Rest in peace Claude Choules.

Not to mention, he is a True hero, survived World War 1 and World War 2, and he was the last surviving WWI veteran! Rest In Peace, we will always remember Claude, he is now in Heaven. R.I.P. Menaced
Makes me proud to be Australian really. I'm not quite sure why you say this, but I'd like to remind you that he was British, not Australian. He was born in the UK, enlisted to join the Royal Navy but got rejected for being too young and so joined the Royal Australian Navy. Just saying. RIP Claude, 110 is a brillaint age!
