kmlwin.1996
I'd become a modder in 2010. But I was just a mod downloader since 2009 before 2010. I became as a modder when I got into gtaplace website. I saw a lot of wondering things around that site and I started to understand that games can be moddable too. But I don't have internet at home before April 15. So I have to go to internet cafe and learn new things about GTA SA modding. Then I found out GTAGarage and I said myself "What a wonderful things, I wanna make them like that." Then I read tutorial and download tools. And so I tried to make a texture mod one day, then when I installed my first texture in game, (Shwedagon Pagoda) I cried out aloud and said to my father "Dad! I can make a mod now!". That's what I've become a modder.

WF the Hobgoblin
Where the f*ck is Burma? That place in Rambo IV, although I think it was filmed in thailand. The extent of my modding ability was making a V Rock vulture t-shirt for Tommy Vercetti and replacing the posters in his hotel room with pictures of naked chicks... _Rob_
I must admit, I didn't think much of modding first time I laid eyes on it. Looked like a stiff breeze would blow it over. That was my first impression of the modding scene. The first night's the toughest, no doubt about it. They march you in naked as the day you were born, skin burning and half blind from that delousing sh*t they throw on you, and when they put you in that cell, when those bars slam home, that's when you know it's for real. Old life blown away in the blink of an eye. Nothing left but all the time in the world to mod GTA. Most new fish come close to madness the first night. Somebody always breaks down crying. Happens every time. The only question is, who's it gonna be? It's as good a thing to bet on as any, I guess.
Kratos2000
I cried out aloud and said to my father "Dad! I can make a mod now!". Sounds like an opera. "Dad.." "Son..?" "Daadd...!" "Sonn?!#" "I...." trip
I'm a modder, but oddly enough I have never done anything for any of the GTA games. To answer the OP question. I used to do a lot of 3D model and texture work for various machinima tools - that is how I became a modder. WHAT!?
I made some Quake 3 maps, did a vehicle mod for Need For Speed IV... Did some light work on ULCM for GTA: Liberty City. I don't think that counts though. So I'll just be a sarcastic prick and talk about the time I stuck a fleshlight in a blow up doll and told my dad I had the night of my life. Good times. Kimd41
Back in the times when GTA3 was released, after seeing how awesome some mods were, I tried to make my own sh*t. Started with simple textures (which is nothing to be excited about ) then lots of years later I learned to model. SA was the last GTA game I modded before switching to another engine. This is if we don't count all the CSS maps (about two or three) I've done.
chris
I think that i lack the patience to be a modder, as i've got older i've began hate spending hours on end sitting behind my monitor so i doubt i'll ever get into it. Good for you though, OP.

Shark_Cipriani
John Stalvern waited. The lights above him blinked and sparked out of the air. There were demons in the base. He didn't see them, but had expected them now for years. His warnings to Cernel Joson were not listenend to and now it was too late. Far too late for now, anyway. John was a space marine for fourteen years. When he was young he watched the spaceships and he said to dad "I want to be on the ships daddy." Dad said "No! You will BE KILL BY DEMONS" There was a time when he believed him. Then as he got oldered he stopped. But now in the space station base of the UAC he knew there were demons. "This is Joson" the radio crackered. "You must fight the demons!" So John gotted his palsma rifle and blew up the wall. "HE GOING TO KILL US" said the demons "I will shoot at him" said the cyberdemon and he fired the rocket missiles. John plasmaed at him and tried to blew him up. But then the ceiling fell and they were trapped and not able to kill. "No! I must kill the demons" he shouted The radio said "No, John. You are the demons" And then John was a zombie modder.
