yoječ
The non-k models are basically non-overclockable. The base clock of 100MHz can't be budged beyond 103MHz in most cases. Don't forget that you can also increase the multiplier by 5, even in non-K models.
FireDragon
I'm not into OCing that thing, I just wanted a fast CPU to handle games like GTA IV which we all know requires a fast one, quad core processor, and because I don't feel like messing with extra cooling and stuff
YankeesPwnMets
Dude, a Corsair A70 is 30 bucks, easy to install and can probrably handle 4.0 Ghz plus on Sandy Bridge. It's well worth it. But if you want, go ahead and stay with stock clocks and use that pathetic stock cooler of Intel's.
GTA3Freak-2001
He can still get an aftermarket cooler even if he choses not to get an overclockable version, like I decided to get the non k i5 but still got a aftermarket cooler for it. The guy obviously doesn't want to overclock, there is nothing wrong with that!
