If it involves a story like the other ones, no.

 

Anyway, I voted yes because it could encourage more female players to play GTA games.

No, it would be hard for me to connect with playing as a female protagonist, so I wouldn't enjoy the game as much as the others.

 

I know there's girls that play GTA too and they do deserve recognition by having a female protagonist, I'm not against them getting one. But if they do get one, I hope R* also gives us a male character to play as too.

This thread already exists, and it turned into a flamewar. The fact is that some dudes are gonna say no, some other dudes are going to call them sexist, whether they are or not.

Even though my opinion has no bearing on what Rockstar is going to do, I'll still weigh in. There is no problem with a female protag. Even if the female protag is the sole protag. Its no different than having white males for 3 games and then introducing a black male.

 

Oh, and by the way, GTA has already had female playable characters. GTA1 and the multiplayer in SA and the IV era both had female options.

Anyways, I voted yes. People simply need to grow up and realize that women can be just as intimidating as men and that women aren't the only people who play as lead female characters. Also, for the sake of realism, dress her up in something appropriate. How the hell are you going to "attract more female gamers" if you continue to push the insanely big-breasted, half-naked bimbos into your videogames?

I like playing as a guy, and I'm female. Finding a balance for a bad ass female would be hard IMO. Scale back the humour so not to face the wrath of critics or way on so many stereotypes it would just be silly. I'm undecided on this one.

No thank you. 1 of the very few real life female crime/drug bosses, (Griselda Blanco) story didn't interest me in the slightest(it seems she had permanent pms and had a lot of people killed because of it.), much like a female protag wouldn't interest me in the slightest.(unless you were talking about maybe Heavenly Sword, Fear Effect, or games like them, but even then, most of the time, it's not for me.)
