how about we should get 6 stars for getting in a los santos porn site similar to littlelacysurprisepageant.com

They should put a wikileaks-type site where you'd get 6 stars if you clicked on it.

Zero Toler4nce

They need to bring back the past! Police Officers>SWAT>Feds>ARMY! THAT IS THAT! Freemode would be A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! Co-op'n with other players on freemode against the army would be so much fun! Have the army use attack helicopters and jets as their offensive towards us... Wouldn't that be something?! It would take the gaming to new levels! Uncharted territory for sandbox games! Sam Houser of R* would be a GOD!

In my opinion, I think that the wanted level system present in Grand Theft Auto V was fine with the exception of no army. I do think that the army should return in Grand Theft Auto V though, so the wanted level system should go as follows, in my opinion:

One star:

A one star wanted level is gained by holding a weapon that is unconcealed in public, driving recklessly when around police presence or crashing into a police vehicle. Firing a gun in public, regardless of whether you are near police presence or not; will gain you an instant 1-star wanted level.

- General police presence around the local area is increased.

- Cops are aware of you, however they aren't actively looking for you.

- If you are in a vehicle, cops will attempt to pull you over instead of giving chase.

- Cops will try to arrest you if you are on foot if they find you.

- Cops can still be evaded when on a one-star wanted level if you move quickly away from the area.

Two Stars:

A two star wanted level is caused by resisting arrest when on a one-star wanted level. Killing a pedestrian (non-criminal) will instantly gain you a two star wanted level, and aiming a gun at a police officer will also get you two stars.

- Cops begin to give chase, however if they apprehend you; they will still attempt to arrest you rather then kill you.

- If you are in a vehicle, cops on the street will shoot at your vehicle tires in an attempt to slow you down or stop you.

- General police presence in the local area is increased.

Three Stars:

A three-star wanted level is caused by shooting a police officer. Committing enough combination of the crimes above will also net you three stars.

- By this stage, the local area is blocked off by road blocks, and pedestrians are told to go in-doors, leaving just you and police on the streets. Escaping this area will mean that you loose your wanted level. Your gang or other criminal allies will also shoot at cops if they shoot at you.

- Police begin to actively try and kill you.

- A police helicopter will appear overhead, however it will not shoot at you at this stage.

- Cops will lay spike-strips in an attempt to slow you down if you are in a vehicle.

- Cops will send police dogs to hunt you down.

Four Stars:

A four star wanted level is obtained by doing and committing a combination of all crimes above, or continuing to resist when on a three-star wanted level.

- SWAT teams are deployed, carrying SMG's.

- A larger area is blocked off, as mentioned above. Escaping this area will mean that you loose your wanted level.

- The roads are blocked off by SWAT vans.

- Police are actively on a search and destroy mission.

- Members of your gang or criminal organisation will still spawn in areas that they control, and will shoot at law units.

- The SWAT also have APC's at their disposal.

Five Stars:

A five star wanted level is gained by committing several crimes mentioned above. Using a heavy weapon at an airport will also get you an instant five-star wanted level.

- Police units (including police helicopters) are sent back to HQ, with the FBI taking control of the situation.

- The whole local area (section) is blocked off as mentioned above. A five star wanted can be evaded if the player is able to escape from the area.

- FBI units are carrying assault rifles and sub-machine guns, and will fire from their vehicles if you are trying to escape whilst in a vehicle.

- FBI have dogs. Which are used in an attempt to hunt you down.

- Members of your gang or criminal organisation will still spawn, and will shoot at law units.

Six Stars:

A six star wanted level is eventually obtained by committing enough crimes and evading the law for long enough. Using a heavy weapon such as a rocket launcher to destroy a passenger aircraft will instantly gain you six stars. Unlike past wanted levels, a six star wanted level is similar to that of a one star wanted level. The law is aware of you, however they are not actively looking for you.

- The Army completely control the streets, everywhere. Army vehicles will begin to spawn. It is not possible to loose six stars without being killed or arrested (or saving the game). The FBI are called off the streets.

- The army are not actively looking for you, meaning they won't give chase. However, passing by the sight of an army unit will provoke them to shoot at you, considering that all citizens have been ordered to stay in-doors.

- When driving a military vehicle, it is possible to pass for one of them. Which means that the army will not shoot at you, unless of course you jacked the vehicle.

- Members of your gang will spawn in areas that they control, and will shoot at army units on sight.

- Should you provoke the army enough, an attack chopper will be deployed and will fire at you. They will also deploy ground units that will try and kill you.

I do think that if the police AI and such is improved, it should be pretty challenging to survive a three-star wanted level let alone a four or five star wanted level. In my opinion, it has always been too easy to obtain high wanted levels in a relatively short amount of time, and I hope that this is fixed in Grand Theft Auto V.

Grope these are some amazing ideas! It would make the game a lot more challenging which I'd like! Can't you get in contact with Rockstar or something for some adjustments?

Why does everyone insist on adding driving recklessly to the wanted lists? f*ck, the one thing I can still get away with in GTA games is driving recklessly. Why should I be forced to drive like a normal person through fear I'll get busted again? That is NOT FUN. That is not enjoyable. It's just plain annoying. Keep hitting a police car on there, but driving fast or weaving? No. That would annoy everyone.

And why should firing a weapon in public get me an instant wanted level even when not near police? What if I'm not near anyone? I still wouldn't be able to do it? Why? Cops aren't friggin psychic. Well, unless john tanner is part of the police force, but his powers were in a dream anyways. Psychic cops would be annoying.

Uh, i'd hate it if i have to steal a car, then ditch it immediatley after because some bitch saw me. The ideas were pretty good, but I like it when it's so easy to steal a car, and also its hilarious when you drive around and 8 cops car just comes smashing you!

Very well done post.

But.

So many changes won't really fit. Gta IV's gameplay was even too much focused on cops chasing you rather than on random freeroam.

Though something should really be back: army (dogfights... tounge2.gif ) and smoke grenades, why not. Always loved them.

• Witnesses will be similar to RDR. You can kill them, but other witnesses might see you and your fines will increase.

So no terroris massacre on the beach? WOw that's ugly sh*t! This idea is the worst.

I agree. Driving recklessly should only apply if you hit multiple pedestrians. (which was the case in IV)

Hopefully the cops actually give proper on foot chase & try to tackle you & actually cuff you,not just stand still and shoot on site

You have some really good and entertaining ideas but i think you should tone it down a bit because whilst it does seem good it will slow down gameplay too much and GTA is about rampages and killing sprees and rediculous cop chases BUT i do like the wanted system with heat and stuff but in red dead redemption i never used to do anything bad because i was worried about losing so much money..... and i like killing randoms in games but i completely agree with the witness thing

I want them to be able to actually catch up to you and be a bit more aggressive like in older gta's, IV's cops were so damn slow dontgetit.gif.

I really feel getting Busted should warrent more consequences. Imagine if getting Busted meant you lose 20% of your income - $7,000. Now, getting caught by the police would be much more thrilling and intense. You don't want to lose that money, especailly when you've been doing Taxi missions for the past twelve hours. If you get caught, it's over. You lose it all!

I dont think you could get any higher than 2 stars in IV, no matter what you did to pedestrians, yet the moment you shot a cop it went up to 3 stars. Unless im wrong, but if not they should do something about the predictability. Blur the transition a little.

Well.. I believe that losing all my ammunition is already a fine grave enough. Most of the time I load my save again if I get busted. So, yes to paying officers off (up to 2 star wanted), but no to extra fees AFTER getting busted. You had some good ideas overall though, for example running away from cops handcuffed. What a sight! Then there'd obviously have to be a way to get rid of those.. call a friend or figure it out yourself.

The basic idea for witnesses is also valid. Doing a crime with no witnesses should not cause wanted level immediately. It would be fancy if after shooting a lone police officer, maybe a couple of in-game hours later, a police car would come to the sight to look out for a reason why the dead cop is not responding. While you could stalk the scene from the rooftops and look very cool.

But I do think that the wanted level system in GTA4 was already a big improvement over previous installations and it would be great if Rockstar made a similar leap forward with GTA5.

A lot of this sounds like what Mafia 2 had and it was sh*t so just go play that

Why not? I hate it in IV where you shot someone in a area where there are no witnesses and you still get a wanted level. Out of sight, out of mind. If no one sees you, you should get away scot-free. That should how the wanted system works in V.

GTA V sucks! Buy Watch Dogs instead!
