Hey, Hippie, nice to see you again! Been hooked up on X3 lately, so missed some progress in GTA modding, but you are keeping it up as I can see! Nice collection of mods, but in this respect I have a proposal. I particularly like Basic Needs, but how about making a script where you can buy liquor, blunts, cigs, etc., either from a contact or some POS? This would be much more convenient and realistic.

thanks AA... but my body guards are useless in zombies, what he could do is remove the line that removes the big health chunk (search health -=) leaving only the ragdoll falling down damage which is minimal but still feels realistic (well for a zombies apocalypse at least) biggrin.gif

1. Get fat with food

2. put someone in the boot of the car

3. add gore from explosions. So if grenade goes off, you can replace ped models with gore? Or remove limbs?

GTA4 Peds are limited because of Euphoria engine..

Maybe it's possible , but if it is. It's gonna be REALLY HARD to do it..Because it's a whole skeleton in real-time..

not like GTA:SA.

Maybe. but we already have to create gore models AND inject to GTA4 which is the problem I guess? but still possible.

 

And your grenade must be a RKG3 seriously to blow a man in a whole piece of crap tounge.gif

 

In RDR , it's just a big red smoke with some random stuff flying everywhere smile.gif

hippie, i'm getting pretty annoyed by niko being forced to play the" hands up" animation, when surrounded by cops. let's say that i'm on a mission and in the middle of a gunfight and i want to escape the cops even with 1 star, is there anyway to keep control of the player without removing the ticketing for, let's say, doing felony and still getting a fine.

I had the same problem. So now I am using the Ticket mod from 1.3.8 version without any problem.

@manu90mala - u have two options, one is edit the file and remove the line:

 

 

Player.CanControlCharacter = false;

 

 

another way is pressing F10 during the game to 'free' urself once ticketed

I've got a problem. I use the 1.0.4.0 version and it keeps crashing. I think the CriminalActs is the problem... Should i update?

Playing the game with Zombie Invasion, Pick up props/objects and healing makes this game even better than Dead Rising!

One note though, how do I stop the exploding cars, leave more cars able to drive and increase the zombie population? Other than that, this is awesome!

hippie, i still have niko doing that hands up animation (after the animation end i can control him for a split second then it repeats), and it is pretty annoying especially in missions when you have to escape cops on foot (like in the snow storm mission, niko was standing hands up while the noose was walking around him without shooting, the 3 stars became one but niko was still standing, that was a mess). i think you should keep it without forced animations and feezes, as it could mess up many game situations icon14.gif

to another key, the script seems to think its pressed all the time =\

Very nice collection of mods, Hippie. I've got all sorts of ideas running through my mind about ways I might be able combine your mods, e.g.: peds struck by the zombies fall to the ground and start convulsing (like in the dart mod) before dying; if you don't drag their dead bodies off the street and dispose of them (into a bonfire or into a ambulance perhaps?), they will rise as zombies too; uninfected peds pick up objects to throw at the advancing zombies, and maybe a few of the smarter zombies could also pick up objects to throw; Niko has to break into car boots and people's homes to find food and other supplies to survive, etc. I'm not sure how much, if any, of that I'll be able to do, but it should be fun trying.

 

I noticed the zombies don't moan - a couple even spoke to me when I bumped into them! - so I thought I'd start with something simple and made a couple of small changes to ZombieZ.CS:

 

To add a bit more atmosphere by making them moan, change

if (Pede.Exists() && Pede != null)

{

if (Pede.isSittingInVehicle())

 

to

 

if (Pede.Exists() && Pede != null)

{

GTA.Native.Function.Call("SAY_AMBIENT_SPEECH", Pede, "MOAN", 1, 1, 2);

if (Pede.isSittingInVehicle())

 

and change

 

Pede.Weapons.RemoveAll();

Pede.CancelAmbientSpeech();

Pede.SetPathfinding(true, true, true);

 

to

 

Pede.Weapons.RemoveAll();

Pede.Voice = "M_ZOMBIE";

Pede.SetPathfinding(true, true, true);

 

I also made a few other changes so that cops and Noose are immune from zombification and will go after the zombies, not me, when I have a wanted level. It sort of works, but the stupid cops are reluctant to open fire for some reason and keeping trying to arrest the undead! One cop did manage to get a zombie into the back of his car but, as he was entering the driver's seat, the zombie escaped and leapfrogged over both the cop and the still open car door before shambling off down the road. lol.gif

Erem has some awesome ideas and thank you for boosting the realism mor inlove.gificon14.gif , how about an simple resident evil vaccine to your dart mod which is toggle able ph34r.gif so you can choose to save the city or destroy it tounge2.gifShifty41s_beerhatsmilie2.gif idk but could be fun..
