I'd be interested in seeing your results. There are still background people working on varying parts of IV. At first i thought top color sky was causing that undesirable side effect, but, after many trials and erros, finally, finally, FINALLY i managed to get rid of that greenish ugliness! The key is to calibrate RGB Azimuth values to create a hue that blends properly with the current fog resulting in the desired effect. I wanted it to look like this (doesn't look 100% identical but close as i could get, currently): Edited June 5, 2018 by LanGonCer9807 PacketOverload_x64bit, Phantomic and DJQuaie
LanGonCer9807
Someone please help me get rid of this strip! Apparently. is linked to Fog and FarClip distance. If fog is used, then no matter what FarClip is, there will always be a line with the corresponding fog color in the horizon, but is worse with higher values. It appears to be affected by height, too. At sea level it's almost invisible, but the more elevated you are on the map, the more visible it becomes. In this case, at the highest point, Rotterdam Tower, it becomes a nightmare. It's like you reached the world boundaries, but idk if the distance at which they are visible can be increased Edited December 27, 2018 by LanGonCer9807
PacketOverload_x64bit
I believe that may be a setting in the ENBSeries.ini for Azimuth height. Set it to 1, or higher or lower and observe results. ENB results with timecycle is heavily dependent on the proper ini settings to start. Check DKT70's settings to look at highly realistic start points for settings. I keep consulting this explaination to better understand timecycle to ini relationships. It's useful. http://gtabay.cba.pl/index_dokumentacja_gta4_en.htm Edited November 1, 2019 by PacketOverload_x64bit
jpm1
this is pretty crazy people are still interested into this. once i created a very realistic dusk sun. it looked a bit like liquid, like irl, when it reached the horizon. unfortunately it was in another life, and i forgot how to do this PacketOverload_x64bit
PacketOverload_x64bit
I would encourage anyone venturing into this timecycle/ENB settings thing to learn HLSL and codes first. If you're okay with that, you'll do that. I hadn't had time to do that - so it's taking me years to learn to get decent results without. Once you get into ENB and timecycle editing you can fully start with wrong enbseries.ini / enbeffect.fx / enbbloom.fx and wrong timecycle modifiers which will drive you absolutely mental over time. When you put in an RGB code and blue comes out orange, or bloom settings are wrong and you put orange in corona slot in timecycle, but it still comes out blue and you don't know why - t's very frustrating. So, that said, I believe GTA IV and ENB + Timecycle editing still has a long way to go. I've seen results that are so hyper realistic with enough work, GTA IV could see a beautiful ressurrection of sorts. Would make a huge difference if someone created a camera for IV like V's, it makes the environment / graphics one-hundred times better. :) jpm1

You'll get much less freezes. by doing this, i can easily tweak 40/50 times in a row before getting any freeze this being said i'm quite struggling with cloud coverage right now. someone has found the logic behind it. how do you simply increase/decrease the cloud coverage. i just want an extrasunny with a couple of micro clouds. and there's no way i can even come close to it edit: i think i found how to remove clouds. setting a big value on Cloud density 3 removes them also Horizon height: sets the height of the strip that is between the sea horizon, and the sky. lower value = bigger. higher (ex 20) = smaller Brightness horizon: sets the visibility (brightness) of that strip Edited March 7, 2021 by jpm1
DayL
Since this thread is really old lots of images aren't available anymore. I've tried my best to define most functions in EditIV. Custom definitions are made by Packet. You can find them here in this forum thread. I hope it helps: Page 1: Page 2: Page 3 part 1: Page 3 part 2: Page 3 part 3: Page 3 part 4: Feel free to join my Discord community for a more detailed timecycle guide with more images and ingame examples: https://discord.gg/NYF8C7VQQ3 You can also ask me timecycle related questions on Discord. I might do a new gtaforums thread to make a completely new timecycle guide. PacketOverload_x64bit
Just dropping by quickly. Nice job DayL even I don't have those pics anymore. I wanted to make a note that one of the biggest drawbacks to using a TC Editor is that I seemed to get timecycle corruption repeatedly (hence why I never "finished" any full blown overall redux's of the iCEnHancers). Sometimes it was months, other times it was a day or two. Now, I don't know for sure it was the TC Editor, but an authorative and trusted source said it was. Mileage may vary - backup literally often manually eg. every 2 minutes? I recommend. You guys are doing a great job of keeping Liberty CIty and the Bellic cousins alive. Love it. Have fun and best of luck! Packet Edited July 29, 2021 by PacketOverload_x64bit jpm1
