Imaginative Problems.

I'm having a problem guys. I've applied to a tattoo apprenticeship where I live, however as I need an up to date portfolio my creativity is not up to the task. I cannot seem to 'create' anything. Everytime I try to draw bodies or certain things I just cannot do it.

I think of the image in my head and then it's just like vomit on paper when I try to draw it..

Any tips?

One would wonder why you want that apprenticeship then.

Because I love art, and because I CAN draw, I'm just finding it hard lately to splice things together and to create things.

Then you should put tattoos on hold for now and go back to practice.

Eat some psilocybin. Works for me!

Kidding. The best thing I can tell you is reference existing works. This could be any media, build some flash sheets based on some pre-existing tattoo designs (you'll really need to know how to do some traditional tattoo flash). Study work from your favorite artists. Look for new artists and study their work. Then go for it. Then, eat some psilocybin.
