chris
I actually enjoy f*cking up tackles just to put the new physics engine into use, i gave away two crucial penalties before and not a f*ck was given due to the hilarity of the tackles. The xbox i currently have is knackered so i've give me brother a few quid to buy me the new slimline one which he should bring home tonight, can't wait to sit on Fifa all day without the thing freezing every 2 games. Also my brother's youth scout found a cracking brazilian lad for his youth team, he's an overall 68, he is age 16, plays in attacking mid and is expected to reach 90 overall, he's gone a league two side aswell so it's an ideal signing. Quadropheniac90
I have a very frustrating bug, sometimes when crossing my players just pass the ball to the enemy keeper. So far this game has been a blast though, even with my online functions not working because my ISP is a c*nt. Cup games in FIFA 12 are annoying. I had to refrain myself from some oldfashioned controller throwage. It seems the opposite team is way more competitive than a normal game. f*ck that. At least Champions Cup is still somewhat fair as opposed to 'Hey, you're winning, let's f*ck you over with a few lucky goals'. I'm having the same bug with crossing, all of a sudden my game has decided that crosses should be aimed behind the goal try changing cross assistance to manual - that should help. As for the above cup "competiveness", most teams ARE more competitive in cup games. I'm finding it annoying how rare the CPU shoot when you're the keeper. Nice to see EA changed that from 11... cactus.
try changing cross assistance to manual - that should help. Yeah, but if he's not used to manual controls then he should expect to continue crossing behind the goal until he gets the hang of it. Manual is a big learning curve, at least for me, that's why I opt to play with assisted Don't get me wrong, I have the utmost respect for manual players, but it was just too frustrating for me. Still waiting till the holidays to get my hands on this game. Sounds like fun with all the good things being said about it in this thread. Speaking of these Cup games, can we now play an tournament online (group + knockout)?
Banks.
I play with Semi (for crossing) can't get used to manual
Mokrie Dela
I use manual for a couple of reasons - when u get it right you can score some crackers, I was scoring too many with semi/assisted, it just felt wrong. Now half my shots skim the outside of the post, sail over the bar, but when my positioning and timings right, I'm working the keeper I only wish the CPU had the same - last game I played the CPU had 4/5 shots and only missed one. Before I changed CPU shot error slider, every shot was a goal. Also switch on manual for through balls - 30 yard killer passes ftw! On another note, anyone know what the recent patch was for? No issues with the games been fixed. Yet again ea have taken the money and f*cked offf Also can anyone help with a problem I'm having: I am not hearing any custom chants for my chosen team in career. I beer them in clubs but not in career. I did hear them once but no more The only true wisdom is in knowing you know nothing. chris
I hate how on this Fifa whenever i cross a ball in it's always the defenders who connect with my passes and whenever they cross a ball in my defenders forget they're allowed to use their heads and i always conceed. Quadropheniac90
Anyone else notice a huge difference in difficulty between Professional and World Class? I cannot for the life of me keep a clean sheet and get embarrassed by rival attackers. 3-2, 2-1, 1-0, losing pretty much everything or drawing. I've had many instances of wanting to throw my controller while playing on World Class.

I've had many instances of wanting to throw my controller while playing on World Class. Hell, I can't even win (most of the time) in Professional. Even Semi-Pro beat me sometimes. I'm still not used to this Tactical Defending, one mistake will just let the opponent slip through the line. Also is it me or everytime the ball is being crossed to my penalty box, I can't even change my player. It's like you're locked to this one player until the ball hits or touches the ground. Prometheus
I just played this game, and the gameplay is unbelievable, except for the tackles of course Anyways Something I loved about this game, is that I was playing Man Utd vs Man City 2 days ago Oct 24, and the commentator talked about Rooney's birthday, I went and checked, and found out that it was Oct 24 1985! chris
I've just won promotion into League 1 with Oxford United, i also won the FA cup beating Liverpool 5-0, Man City 3-1 and then Man United 4-1 in the final, Champions league is one step closer. If anybody is playing with a lower rated team on career mode (1-3 star) then i'd suggest putting a bid in for Christian Tello (Barcelona B team), he is an excellent striker. I played him first game against Chelsea in the community shield and he scored a hatrick and in the following game he scored a bicycle kick which i'll upload on the EA sports website. I play on professional by the way. @Dnero - look up a few posts It's f*cking annoying man!
Quadropheniac90
Started a new season on World Class with RKC Waalwijk and this time around I'm doing surprisingly well. My objective is to stay away from the relegation zone, but I'm top of the tables. Two of my players (VP and Castillion) are topscorers in the league. And I seem to be less pissed when I get scored against, the last few games involved me coming back from a 3-1 to a 3-4 or something so mentally my team is doing fine as well. George Castillion is a good striker, his strong point is Strength but he has some other advantages as his length which make him very good for dribbling around players (sheer force) and corners (headers). Hopefully I can get my Youth Acadamy shaped up nicely. I've one left wing defender now who I wanna bring in slowly by letting him play in some easier games or cup games. Mokrie Dela
So yesterday I scored a goal and ran toward a team mate and they high fived! Nice little touch there. anyone else having problems with pricks quiting early from games? We had a game and we were winning in injury time so they quit. Fcking annoying. Nittydon: that may be true because you could apparently do that, but it dont work. PISSED me off cos being able to control the keeper at times is helpful. love that feature. Fcking annoying. Nope, haven't met any quitters... yet. I just lost 6 times in a row, yes it's that gay. The gayest part is that all those 6 matches were lost because of my opponent scoring in the last minute, and ALL of them were like those lucky ass goals. Dnero
Point blank squared lay-offs? wat What I mean by the 'lucky ass goal' was that when the opponent shoots the ball and the keeper blocks it the ball goes back to the opponent that is beside the opponent that shot the ball and he just gonna score without a keeper to the net. So it looks like this: Red: Opponent Blue: Keeper
SilentSeas
I've only had one person quit on me so far when I was 3-0 up at half time while playing as Excelsior SBV. At least in this season's edition of the game the score gets reviewed, so that if you were winning, it still gets counted as a victory rather than a defeat in previous iterations. Quadropheniac90
I find free kicks to be impossible, I mostly score inside the penalty box or sometimes from a cross. Crossing, free kicks, finesse shots. Not my thing, I suck at them this time around.

chris
My second season with Oxford is so f*cking hard, i'm in the first division, the FA cup, the League cup, The J paint trophy and the Europa league and i only have 24 squad members so it's rare to see my players with full energy, i've only lost one game out of 20 so far against Roma (profesional dificulty) and pretty soon i have Man City in the league cup who i should beat if i play like i did last season. I'd recomend anybody to take on the challenge getting a league two side to the prem, it's so addictive and alot of fun when your two star team are beating the likes of Liverpool 5-0 and such, give it another few game years and i'll be locking tusks with the likes of Barcelona i hope!
