You will play as Andre Benjamin, a former prisoner in a quest to get his life back on track. After 5 years of narcotics traffiking in Liberty City, he's back in his hometown of Bentonville. His brother, Darrel, helps him move back in his mothers house. While doing so, Andre discusses with Darrel about what he want's to do. He generally demands to seek vengeance on Lance Moore This is the man who forced Andre into the drug business, caused him to get shot 4 times, beaten up, and have his whole life flipped around. Andre discovers Lance is closer than he thinks, and he's ready for revenge. Play as Andre Benjamin, and take a journey through the hellhole known as Bentonville. Witness gangs, violence, unique neighborhoods, and much more. And on top of that, admire the beautiful physics, graphics, and features Grand Theft Auto Bentonville has to offer.

Andre Benjamin

Born and raised in the city of Bentonville, Andre Benjamin is your typical brave black man. He also loves to ride bikes. He's had a hard lifetime. When he was 4, his mother was shot and killed in a robbery. He was only left with his dad. 2 years later, his father committed suicide due to the fact that he couldn't handle paying his bills, cleaning the house, and especially taking care of Andre, who was wild and crazy most of the time. After that event had occured, Andre was sent to a foster home in lower Bentonville, a neighborhood hosting one of the highest crime rates in America. When Andre was 16, he decided to get a job at a busboy at a local diner. Andre had lived in the foster home until he was 19. Later on he decided to use all his job money and rack it up in order to buy a plane ticket to Liberty City. There, he had met Lance Moore, the man who forcefully changed Andre's life around. Andre had become vicious and dangerous, but when the cops had taken him, he regrets everything he's done in Liberty City. He seeks, vengeance.

-It's 2011, and everyone assumes video games to have realistic looking graphics. Well, that's what Grand Theft Auto Bentonville offers. Smooth shadows, realistic lighting, and much more. If you're looking for a sandbox game with awesome graphics, and a great setting, look no further than Grand Theft Auto Bentonville.

Note: The game requires a high end computer.

-Features-

Customizable HUD

-That's right folks. This is the first time ever in GTA history, where you can customize the gameplay HUD. You are able to change the color of the health bar, and the armor bar. Also, you can choose from an array of 5 map styles to appear in the in game HUD. As time progresses, R* will release "map packs" and they will be downloadable via patches.

First Person Mode

-So you're in a gun fight, but you wanna make it feel like an FPS game. Well, that's the First Person mode is for! While aiming your weapon, press triangle (on PS3), or press 3 (on PC), in order to activate the First Person Mode

Stealing Clothes

-Wanna wear what a cop wears? Or what a homeless bastard wears? Look no further than the 'Stealing Clothes' feature. In order to take off someones clothes, you'll have to beat them up. After doing so, press X (on PS3), or 4 (on PC). The screen fades out, and when it fades back in, you'll be wearing "new" clothes!

Weapon Customization

-Feel like adding a silencer to your AK? Or a skin on your Shotgun? Look no further than Weapon Customization! Whenever you customize a certain weapon, it will stay like that until you lose it, and receive the same weapon again. Weapon Customization is only available once you've received a minigun (they can be found in various locations around the game).

Interactive Cell Phone

-1993 is the year the 'Whiz' cell phones were created. In the game, you will receive one. Considering it's 1993, the phone won't be all high tech and sh*t. You are able to dial numbers in an interactive manner.

Click here for a picture of the Cell Phone.

Businesses

-In Grand Theft Auto Bentonville, the ability to own a business is available. You cannot make up your own, but instead, you may choose one from an array of 5 businesses and shops around the city. The opportunity to buy a business and take control of it, is only available after completing the 'Hamilton Park' missions. Businesses that will be available are a Laundromat, Grocery Store, Ammunation shop, Cluckin Bell, and an Auto Mechanics shop.

Banks, withdrawing and depositing

-This feature will be available at any time of the game. You are able to store money in banks and withdraw them as well. A maximum of $7,000,000 is allowed only! (in deposits). Withdrawals are open to an unlimited amount of money. Banks are available around the city. Just look on the radar for a green money sign ($) to see the closest bank near your location.

Robbing

Robberies can be performed almost ANYWHERE. Stores, Banks, and hey, even houses (similar to the San Andreas system). Performing a robbery will earn you a 3 star wanted level, therefore it is recommended to use a flying vehicle once heading to your destination, and escaping the police. (flying vehicles such as a Maverick or Dodo will be a bit useful if you're ever escaping from the police.

SMG's MP5, Thomspon, P90, Uzi

-Wanted Level-

Wanted Level Description
1 Star When obtaining a 1 star wanted level, police on foot will spawn mostly, unless you're in a vehicle. When in a vehicle, a range of 1 to 5 patrol cruisers will spawn to chase you. Leaving the wanted level zone will spawn 2 more patrol cruisers, so run fast.
2 Stars Obtaining a 2 star Wanted level will spawn 5-10 police cruisers. It will also stretch the wanted level zone much farther. If you are on foot, police will start firing at you with desert eagles. When in a vehicle, police cruiser will attempt to ram you.
3 Stars This is when things start to get much more rough. FIB cruisers and trucks will begin to spawn (about 5-10). Also, 10-15 police cruisers will begin to spawn as well. On top of that, 1 police Maverick will spawn aswell. It will fire at you once it reaches lower altidude towards you. FIB and police vehicles will host an officer on the passenger side, and will attempt to do a drive-by on you.
4 Stars The wanted level zone will now reach 3 times farther than the 3 star wanted level zone. On top of that, SWAT vehicles and MORE police cruisers and FIB Vehicles will spawn. 2 more police mavericks will spawn as well. In some cases, you might spot a news helicopter hovering in the air. This let's you know things are about to get more rough...
5 Stars 5 police mavericks, and 15 FIB trucks and SWAT vehicles will spawn in the wanted level zone. Police cruisers are in the range of 20-30 vehicles. When reaching the 5 star wanted level, army vehicles will begin to spawn. Barracks will appear, but tanks will not.
6 Stars The highest amount of stars you can receive. A LIMITED amount of police cruisers. FIB Vehicles, SWAT vehicles, etc, will spawn. The wanted level zone will cover HALF the city. Tanks will begin to appear and they will fire at you if provoked. If not, they will attempt to run over you. The 6 star wanted level is almost impossible to lose. Obtaining a flying vehicle might help your escape.

-Minigames and Places of Interest-

Amnesia

A nightclub, that strongly resembles Maisonette 9. Shots and other drinks are available at the bar as well as a drinking game is set up in the VIP section of the club. Dancing can be found on the dance floor and coin tossing is available in the main hallway.

Lizard Lounge

The Bentonville equivalent of the Lost MC Clubhouse. The front room and bar offers shots, eating and darts. The back room has arcade games, arm wrestling, hi-lo and pool.

The Beer Hall

The famous bar and pub, that is most like the Steinway Beer Garden. Rows of shots and drinks are available, as well as various meals, two dart boards and arm wrestling.

Arcade Games

These retro, arcade-style video games are available for use at the Lizard Lounge, clothing shops and strip clubs. Four games are available, including one from San Andreas: Black & White, Commando, Minesweeper and They Crawled From Uranus.

Arm Wrestling

Arm wrestling is a wager-based competition between two competitors where in order to win, you must beat your opponent two out of three rounds. This can be found at the Lizard Lounge and on the streets.

Basketball

A one-on-one minigame where each player tries to outscore their opponent by shooting or dunking a basketball through the hoop. Dunks and close range shots are worth two points, while shooting beyond the line is three points. This is available at basketball courts which are scattered through Bentonville.

Bowling

The objective of bowling is to leave with the highest score at the end of 10 frames by knocking down as many pins as you can with your bowling ball. Bowling is strictly available at the two Benton Lanes.

Cage Fighting

Bentonville's remake of L.C. Cage Fighters. Andre must face eight rounds of three fighters in order to attain the championship. Andre can also bet on fighters in the cage as well.

Coin Toss

Very similar to golfing in The Ballad of Gay Tony. The player must toss his coin closer to his target than his opponent to win. The gauge shows how far the coin will go. The strip running through the gauge is where the target is and the closer to the strip, the better your toss. Coin toss is a wager-based game and is available at Amensia and on the streets.

Dancing

Dancing is a rhythm-based minigame which is available at Amnesia. To keep Andre in tune with the dance, the player must smash the buttons as the appear on screen. Success in dancing can result in new friends and girlfriends.

Darts

Darts is a minigame where you must lower your score from 301 to 0, in order to win. This can be found at the Lizard Lounge, The Beer Hall and other bars and pubs. Darts is strictly a two-player game.

Drinking Contest

A one-on-one minigame where finishing your bottle of champagne declares you the winner. Drinking your champagne at a steady pace will pretty much ensure a win. Over-drinking will cause Andre to pass out and he'll awake four hours later in a whacky location. This available strictly at Amnesia.

Hi-Lo

A wager-based minigame where in order to stay in the game, Andre must decide whether the next card dealt will be higher or lower in value than the current card on the table. (ex: A six of hearts is on the table and Andre says, "higher". The next card dealt is an eight of spades, meaning Andre was correct, allowing him to stay in the game.) This can be found at the Lizard Lounge as well as the streets.

Pool

A wager-based minigame where two competitors try to knock in their style of ball and finally 8-ball into the six pockets on the table. There are a few penalties, which can be avoided through careful playing. Whoever knocks in all of their balls and then the 8-ball wins the match.

Shots

Shots are small glasses of tequila which give Andre a boost. But, after swallowing seven shots causing Andre to pass out, causing him to wake up four hours later in a whacky location. Available at Amnesia, the Lizard Lounge, The Beer Hall and other bars and pubs.

I like it. I gave a quick skim but seems fitting. I'll build up some time to read it in a bit. Oh, I like how you used Dwayne as a protagonist even though it isn't really Dwayne but his appearance. I think it's great! Good job DK.

Didn't know you make a concept thread. It looks very good, it still needs a lot of work but it's a great start. I would remove the IV images though.

Couldn't find any other better pictures but don't worry the pictures will be placed with ones averted from GTA IV wink.gif

Drift-Kingz, this is a very good concept. Andre seems to be a great protagonist and Bentonville seems very well developed. Excellent work ( icon14.gif )

Really good so far. I have three remarks/questions:

- I'm interested to see how you will make a man who has decided to turn his life around for the better become a criminal once again.

- Is Bentonville based on a real life city? If so which? If not, what city would you think it'd resemble most?

- You say the story takes place in 1993 yet you have the main character use a hypermodern phone. They didn't have Interactive Touch Screen Phones in 1993. Most people didn't even have internet on their pc's at that time.

He will NOT become a criminal like he did back in the old days. He will only seek vengeance. But in order for him to accomplish it, he'll have to go through a journey to find Lance Moore. He's not just going to drive up to his house, is he? No. During the game duration, he'll receive guidance, thus leading to what is known as 'Grand Theft Auto Bentonville.'

- Is Bentonville based on a real life city? If so which? If not, what city would you think it'd resemble most?

It is not based on a real life city. Also, I think it would resemble... Los Angeles? I can't really procure about this thought yet until I make up more ideas.

Sorry, I haven't thought about this very well. When I was adding this feature, I had this thought in my head that the game was in modern times. It will be replaced with something else, don't worry. wink.gif

Hey man, do you need help with the soundtrack?

icon14.gif

I might plan to make a complex soundtrack, so if you want, help me with a hip-hop/rap radio? I'll let you work on that. If you're interested in working on another genre then take a shot at it.

Yes it is set in 1993, therefore the soundtrack should be compromised of songs before 1993, or created during 1993.

Anyways, thanks for the songs icon14.gif . Try to get at least... 7 more? Oh and yeah, I'm gonna make the name up myself of course. tounge.gif

@VC Over LC - I plan on working on the media alone, but if you have any suggestions, feel free to show me. wink.gif

As for the clothing, I haven't really thought of implementing it, but if you'd like, go ahead and work on it. Credit will be given.

Now for the vehicles... I'm going to work on that alone. Also, I plan on doing original vehicles. I'm not saying you're not able to do them, which you probably can, but I've decided I wanna work on this alone.

@VC Over LC - Fantastic job. I don't have much time right now, so I'll implement the clothing you gave in a later time (perhaps tomorrow). Any way of implementing it into a table BTW? Not asking you to do it, but I would appreciate it quite a lot (considering it will save me a ton of time).

Sorry. Plus, glad you like the clothing. If you need anything else I am here.

Much appreciated if you help me with that. I'm currently working on the soundtrack right now, therefore an extra hand would be quite useful.

If you have any trouble with it, I'll do it myself then.

@dr scot - I am working on the map currently although it won't appear in the first post (I will link it. I don't wanna pass my image limit due to the fact I will posting more pics up.)
