KilnerLUFC
Anyhoo.... Slight little bump, but one thing that has annoyed me both in AC2 and Brotherhood, and definitely needs sorting out in this new game, is backwards jumping from ledge to ledge, or whatever. FML, that's the most annoying thing ever. Was on Brotherhood yesterday, and attempting the mission where you have to find some treasure (in 8 minutes, for 100% synch), just after slaying all those would-be murderers, and on one certain part, it took me literally around 10 minutes to get from one ledge to the other doing a backwards jump. The camera is too annoying, and no matter where you hold the analogue stick, it seems he just wants to jump everywhere BUT the ledge you want. Might be doing it wrong, but it's been the same in AC2 as well.
JOSEPH X
If you position yourself in the right spot he'll automatically jump to the next ledge. Usually you can tell if you're in the right spot, because he glances towards where he will land.
Creed Bratton
Still, there are parts where the camera is just f*cked up. Especially on PC version where you need analog precision to position your character for a jump, and you only have WASD. I had to use a controller for one Templar lair just for one jump. I don't understand why some missions have a fixed camera angles. Just let us play with the default third person camera.

Creed Bratton
Easy solution - enter first person mode and make the jump. You can't. It's fixed and it won't change. And even if it could it wouldn't matter because you have to react quickly or the guy you're chasing will get away.
Narcis_speed6
I don't understand why some missions have a fixed camera angles. Is funny, the camera angles should help you make the jump, hope they will fix it in this one.

I get to the point where he glances to the ledge behind him, but then when I go to make the jump, he jumps in the complete wrong direction. So I climb all the way back up, and alter my analogue position...only to fail again. Just make it so we can move the camera, rather than having it fixed. tuareg
Backwards jumping didn't bother me in Brotherhood at all. The camera angles hardly helped in II, but i feel like they changed that if only slightly. They must've done something as i sucked at making backwards jumps. Assassin tombs made me rage so hard. Jonesizzle
Assassin tombs made me rage so hard. Especially when you wanted 100% and had to get through those bitches within' 6 minutes. The silly camera angels made me so angry, but I figured you you have to be patient, or like someone said, if you wait he will look behind him and you can automatically jump and he'll jump behind him. I assume Revelations will be the end of Desmond, Ezio and or Alltair? Any info on that?
Blackadder.
I didn't think you needed to press any direction to jump backwards? I thought you just Held High Profile and then hit the Jump button. I haven't played in a little while but thats how I remember it.

I cruised through the tombs. Maybe once through looking for treasures and flags, then a second for speed or whatever secondary objectives. I can't complain about the controls of Brotherhood. When you go back and play the first game, and then the second, there is a definite upswing in ease of control. In the first game, you have to find the right line to climb a building, every building is a puzzle. But in the second game and especially the third, you can shoot up the side of most any building without much effort.

I swear it took me 10 minutes to figure out one near the end. It just wouldn't work. It's that feeling when you tried everything and it still doesn't work. Then it suddenly clicks. I can't stand timers lol. I dread anything that involves me doing something under a set time limit.
papanesta
Anyone know how large Constantinople will be compared to Rome? I don't know how big it is in comparison, but Constantinople is huge, and beautiful. They showed a top down view in a developer session I was in over the weekend. Sunrise Driver
PC version delayed to 2 December. Well it was expected. Good thing it's not 4 months again. Besides there's SR3 and LA Noire anyway in november.

Besides there's SR3 and LA Noire anyway in november. This is the first time I actually support the delay. Like you said, it's not 4 months, and it gives us time to play SR3 and Skyrim until it's released. But we'll probably play all 3 games at the same time anyway considering the nature of SR3 and Skyrim.

That and I still haven't finished Brotherhood. Got it on PS3 but thinking get the PC version and starting again since I picked up the PC versions of 2 since it was only $20. Anton4291
I assume Revelations will be the end of Desmond, Ezio and or Alltair? Any info on that? Nope, looks like Assassins Creed is Ubisoft's new cash cow. A sequal to AC: R has been anounced. It will tie up the loose ends regarding Desmond, there will be no gameplay where you control Ezio or Altair. It involves the the whole '2012 End of The World' thing AAAAAARRRGGGGH! Everybody knows that is an illogical argument with no genuine proof backing it. F*ck Ubisoft!
Sunrise Driver
I hope it'll be AC3 with enhanced physics and improved parkour, not just another addon to AC2. Edited October 3, 2011 by Street Mix
Creed Bratton
I love how their explanation is that they have to release the final piece of Desmond's story before the time it's set in the game, but they will probably delay the PC version, robbing PC gamers of that pleasure. Hypocrites.
Sunrise Driver
"Probably". You're accusing them even if they haven't done anything. Even if they'll delay it will be like ACR I think. Or even simultaneous. I would personally prefer to play all this 2012 bogus stories somewhere in Q1 2013 so delay will be OK for me.
Creed Bratton
"Probably". You're accusing them even if they haven't done anything. They delayed every Assassin's Creed game for PC so far. And they continue to delay other PC titles. Why would I even assume that they won't do the same for AC3? This is not cynicism.
