It'd be horrible for me, I mean I don't have the spare cash just lying around, but it won't happen, R* love watching fans squirm over every tiny drip of info.

So is this one of the "interesting things [Jim Reilly heard] about the next Grand Theft Auto" a while ago?

Sounds about right. With R* now starting to tease Max Payne 3 GTA V might as well be next. Or Max Payne 3 could be a Fall 2011 game with Agent as the Spring 2012 game and GTA V as the Fall 2012 game. R* would be crazy not to do something like that.

LMFAO this guy is full of it.

He's an IGN director, I don't see why he would lie unless he wants to risk getting fired.

With Grand Theft Auto V and BioShock Infinite coming in 2012, now's the time to buy some Take-Two stock.

IGN have mentioned 2012 as the release date for Bioshock Infinite, however, GTA V's release date is still 'TBA'. I think Jim's just predicting that V will be released in 2012. Besides, he seems to helping Take-Two by making such comments as I already see a lot of people rushing to buy stocks. Why? Because IGN's director said so. Moreover, predictions do not equal lying, so even if V doesn't come out in 2012, he's safe.

I really need to do that sometime. You'd probably be a rich man in a few years time.

If you look at the stock's history it has recovered halfway to its high since it collapsed with the economy in 2008. The biggest short-term gain was when it jumped shortly after GTA IV's final release date was confirmed but anybody who didn't cash in that summer got sucker-punched along with the economy. Most of the ups and downs are tied to the economy and it gets hit harder than other stocks because entertainment is discretionary spending.

But he doesn't work for R* so what he says means nothing.

Anyway he's probably saying that cause he knows how gullible people are.

No, he's saying it because it makes logical sense. This guy gets paid to talk about video games and predict their releases. He knows that all things considered, GTAV will probably drop 2012.

In that case, I can't argue with that.

I'm quite confident that it will be announced Saints Row 3 releases, so the consumers decide to put their money into Rockstar's pocket instead. And I don't think they'd want to keep everyone waiting for very long, so yes. I think this Jim is quite a reasonable person to listen to.

This is how Rockstar games planned it: (I hope)

May 2010: Red Dead Redemption

May 2011: L.A. Noire

May 2012: Grand Theft Auto V

(Hope it will be called Grand Theft Auto V: San Andreas)
