Edmachine
GTAForums YouTube Thing Version 1.3 Works on Firefox and Chrome! Other browsers not tested. This (very) little script adds a little bit of text on a YouTube Video page, that opens up a prompt window, which has the GTAF YouTube BBCode already highlighted and ready to be copied. I've found myself just copying ID after ID, writing the tags manually many times, which can be a tedious task, but now I have put an end to it. It's already helping me heaps. I hope this helps you, too. And this time, it's what a boring Friday evening can do to you. NEW* Now you can get the BBCodes for URL and YouTube tags not only on the video page, but in the Favorites and My Videos sections, too! Even NEWer* Now you can get it on Playlists, Watch Later, Liked, History, Purchases and Content ID Matches pages! -[ Install here ] -[ Changelog ] --[ 1.1 ] ---[ 1 ] Added a thing that gives you a link to the video with BBCode. --[ 1.2 ] ---[ 1 ] Added the BBCode and Link things to Favorites and My Videos pages. --[ 1.3 ] ---[ 1 ] Added support for Playlists (and Watch Later) pages. ---[ 2 ] Added support for Liked videos page. ---[ 3 ] Added support for History page. ---[ 4 ] Added support for Purchases page. ---[ 5 ] Added support for Content ID Matches page. -[ Installation ] If you don't have the Greasemonkey add-on, download it here: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/748 --[ 1 ]Go to this page and click "Install". --[ 2 ] Wait 3 seconds and click "Install". --[ 3 ] If all goes well, you should see this message. -[ Instructions ] Do you really need instructions? Oh, well... Go to YouTube, click on a video you want to share with your fellow GTAForumers, click GTAF YT Code! (at the Like/Dislike, etc. button row) and a box will pop up. Copy the text (CTRL+C) and you can then paste it in the text box when posting a reply. If you spot any bugs, please let me know here or by PM. All comments, questions and criticism are welcomed. Josh
Congrats on the medal mate. If only my bbcode tool was as needed. But seriously, well done with this and good luck trying to port my code to greasemonkey... Edited April 3, 2011 by Josh
Edmachine
Thanks, guys, glad you all like it! And thanks for the Commendation, Mark! @Josh: To be honest, there aren't that many posts, that have anchor tags. It'd be easier to contact those, who need it, individually and informing them of your great tool. This tool is going to help an absolute sh*tload of people and for that you deserve all of the commendations that you get. I personally don't fetch too many videos from youtube, however for those that do (Video Topic) this could be an absolutely fantastic timesaving device. Josh
Thought that might come in handy. That is a great addition, simply because you can never know for sure if your video is going to embed. I may install it just for that feature.

Claude Speed.
This is good, but a bit pointless since it takes just as much as manually copying the url. It would be nice if you could grab the BB code from My Videos or Favorites instead of having to view the video first, which takes longer than right clicking and copying the link manually. It's nice but not very useful actually.
Edmachine
New version! v1.2 -[ Changelog ] --[ 1 ] Added the BBCode and Link things to Favorites and My Videos pages. Install here @Claude Speed.: Challenge accepted! I am pretty sure it's easier to click the BBCode link, rather than to copy the URL, manually write the YouTube tags, paste the URL and delete the rest. Even if you just copy the ID, it's still easier this way. But okay, I like a programming challenge. So here you go. Now you have those functions in Favorites and My Videos pages. Claude Speed.
Whoops! I forgot to mention that I'm using that BB code forum addon, that's why it is easier for me. Thank you for implementing these features! Now it's useful for sure!
