Redmanning14
Well a couple of days ago I decided to bring my ps3 to my grandparents house They have a 57 inch HDTV and it has the 3 colors component things that make video game systems show up on your tv and what not this tv for some very odd reason when I pluck my ps3 up and all that and I turn it on and everything is black and white! no color.. well i think its pretty old maybe because the back of the tv is somewhat huge so why is this happening? (IMPORTANT: I have a wii on this tv and has color)
d0mm2k8
Why aren't you using a HDMI cable?

OverTheBelow
Lol. If it is a HDTV then it should have a HDMI port somewhere. Any idea of the model/brand of the TV?
GTA3Freak-2001
What cable are you using to connect it, I assume its the composite cable with the red, white, & yellow that came with your PS3? Component is the blue, red, green, & white, not the same so make sure you have the right colours in the right connections. You could also try resetting the PS3's display output by holding the power button down for five seconds until it beeps three times I think. agent17
Lol. If it is a HDTV then it should have a HDMI port somewhere. Any idea of the model/brand of the TV? My guess it is an old CRT TV. Just because a television is big doesn't mean it's an HDTV
Otter
Many of the first HDTVs were component-only. That may or may not be the case here. I think GTAFreak is barking up the right tree - sounds like you're plugging component cables into composite inputs, or vice versa.
