Add a mediocre looking city, weak voice acting and a confusing story and it easily became one of my least favourite purchases. Not even Bruce Campbell could save it. trip Posted April 20, 2011 Share Posted April 20, 2011 @agent17 and the Spore rant. I am a huge Will Wright fan. I still have my original SimCity floppy(even says Tandy compatible on the label). Spore was one of those games I closely followed for years before its release. Ask Will Wright and he will tell you the final product is incomplete and not what he had dreamed. Blame EA for ruining what could have been a ground breaking game. They needed to bump up their earnings report, spore was their answer so they rushed it out the door a few years too early. Galactic Adventures didn't help in the slightest. Good luck finding a good created adventure that wasn't done by Maxis. I feel stupid for buying it. The concept was so promising but the execution was flawed beyond words. I stupidly got this expansion too, hoping that it would add enough to the game to make it interesting, or at least fix the Space stage. Unfortunately I never even got to try the expansion, as it turns out because I waited a few months to buy it there were numerous patches before hand. Apparently install certain sh*t and patching certain sh*t in certain orders breaks the game. When I began playing I immediately noticed the creature animations were glitched and stop existing. This was soon followed by catastrophic glitches which made the game unplayable. I immediately returned the game after trying different combinations of re-installations and patching. It was apparent that the game would never work for me. Oh well, from what I heard most of the Adventures fail and are glitchy, and the expansion adds very little to the actual game itself. Such a shame... it had so much potential. Apparently they are working on a new MMORPG called Darkspore, which is set to release this month. I looked around on their website and their forums are pitifully inactive. I feel bad for the creators of this game, they should have just gave up on the game years ago. Even though there isn't a monthly fee for this MMO it is doomed from the start. I got in on the beta for Darkspore... its just Diablo with spore creatures. I got rid of it the day I installed it. Not my cup of tea and I have no patience to stick with it. Too all those who couldn't enjoy New Vegas cause of bugs and stuff thats too bad because its one of the most enjoyable games in my collection and I'm knee deep in my 2nd playthrough and the only problems i experience are the occasional crashes (Like 1 crash for every 10 hours of play at most) But please don't call it the worst game you own unless you don't have many games lol. d0mm2k8 Posted April 20, 2011 Share Posted April 20, 2011 I agree with The Killa. New Vegas was a massive letdown, way too many bugs. I had far less bugs than I did Fallout 3. I am on PC however, and 360 may be vice-versa. The PS3 versions are just f*cking messes in general. Also, the atmosphere isn't as good as 3's but the story, writing and dialogue are improved ten-fold. Shame there isn't as many random encounters in the Mojave. It is ashame that his Spore didn't turn out like he wanted it to. I think it may have soured him and gaming forever. Is he even working on anything now? (awful controls/animations) Stranglehold sucked (demo makes it look like a cool game but the levels after that are too boring to be called a game) Dead Rising 2.. while fun on many levels, I got extremely annoyed because those zombies kept on grabbing me.. that ruined almost everything much for me! Noob_Noobersson Posted April 21, 2011 Share Posted April 21, 2011 "Fallout new vegas " it was a new game and was £13 ,but it isnt my type of game i find it boring I actually liked New Vegas. Had never played a Fallout game until that one.....but one thing that severely discouraged me was the amount of crashes that I had to endure to finish the game. I was even kind of worried that the amount of times I had to reboot my console might even shorten its lifespan. In which case I will be really pissed. Kinda hard to have a clean game with so much content. I had an issue where if I came out of a certain spot, the game would load and then just freeze..so I had to start a new character. Anyway some of the worst games that I've played: Pro Evolution Soccer 08: The worst piece of garbage crap that I've ever played. I got the game for PC and I expected it to be pretty decent but it was so sh*tty I deleted it after playing it for like 1 day. No licenses, just about 15 stadiums half of them are generic, no crowds, terrible game play and graphics, career mode was garbage, no real-life leagues at all, some sh*tty League A and B. After playing this I swore not to buy a PES game ever again. Street Tennis The game was pretty bad and I just didn't like it at all. Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones Not exactly the worst but one of the most overrated and boring games that I've ever played, the story is long, flat and boring, the gameplay is average and it was just boring all in all. Medal of Honor: Pacific Assault This game got boring pretty quick too, the first missions were fun but it got boring quickly, I expected something similar to Spearhead and Breakthrough, but it was quite disappointing.
